I am trying to get my druid team set up after my shaman team is now pretty set up. I switched out several addons and am now using cartographer, jamba, and macaroon. I have atlas, bindpad and bartender4 available but deselected.

My macros with the comand "/focus" don't work. Even when i just type in "/focus toons name" nothing will happen and i will get no error message unless the toons name is the toon themselves or their pet. My lock can focus himself or his demons but no one else with the slash comand focus. I have the focus target comand bound and if i select a toon and hit the key then it will focus them.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get my slash comand focus working, or why it isn't working? Anyone have a workaround for it that i can use? I am going to consider setting up some kind of "/click" or somehing.

Edit: For what its worth i turned off macaroon, bindpad, atlas, bartender4 so the only addon was jamba and cartographer... still happening. Then i turned off jamba and now i can use the /focus command. I am sure i must have set up something wrong in jamba. Now i am off to try and figure out what i set up wrong.

Yeh try one key with /focus toonname here
another key with /target focus
?

another thing that could help is getting a focus frame mod of some sort
something like

my problem is still there. it may be more odd than i thought. i don't know if jamba had anything to do with it. the targets that i focused with /focus where it worked after i turned off jamba where in a bg. I still can't use the function on anyone in the game out of a bg unless it is me or my pet.

do you have a single /focus line or multiple ones? Blizzard recently changed focus so that if the person you are focusing is not near you, it CLEARS the focus instead of leaving it alone. ie this won't work:

/focus charA
/focus charB
/focus charC

if A is online and B and C are not, it will clear focus every time you run it. The macro I use instead is:

/clearfocus
/cleartarget
/targetexact charA
/targetexact charB
/targetexact charC
/focus
/cleartarget

works fine with jamba for me.

So what i didn't know is that the /focus "toons name" only works if you are in the same group as the toon you are trying to focus. That is why it works in bg and not out of it. When i was setting up my druids i had not grouped them yet. I didn't realize it made such a difference to the way /focus worked.

My switching jamba off had nothing to do with it... just so happens i switched it off and went into a bg... so then it worked cause i was grouped.

I had this confirmed by a gm just now.

best and thanks

are all your characters grouped up?
