New to the forums and boxing, though a long-time player of WoW. Currently RAF'ing two accounts, using Innerspace with repeater and window snapper, which is amazingly awesome, and was surprisingly easy to setup :)
I tried out pally + mage and it was fun but a little slow, then tried two elem shammies which was quite fun, but I rolled on a PvP server on a day when queue times on my normal server Feathermoon were ridiculous, and realized that was probably a mistake given my newness at boxing.
I've settled on two hunters, and got them to 19 yesterday. It's the most fun of the three so far -- it's fun, and supa fast!
I'm struggling with deciding on specs, however. BM just plain rocks in general, but I'm dubious as to whether that's the way to go for a two-box setup. I don't have any current plans on doing more than 2 at a time, so instances are pretty much out. I'll likely just do levelling/questing and maybe some PvP, and only instance with others who don't mind playing with a boxer.
I am trying to decide between three possibilities:
1) Spec both BM. Coolest pets, durable as hell and I could probably play somewhat sloppily and still do fine (EZmode?). I don't see much in the way of downsides, really, except I've already played a BM hunter to 61, but that's not really a huge issue.
2) Spec one MM, the other BM. Plus side is buff stacking, downside is play logistics. Would probably get aimed shot on both if I went this route, then have one continue down the MM tree and the other move to BM. I can see I'd have to pay close attention to the talents I pick or risk a clogged attack cycle (things like Rapid Killing and Serpent's Swiftness).
3) Spec both MM, with tenacity pets. Big dps, stuff would die super fast. Downside is tougher to keep agro on pets, and fewer tools if stuff gets crazy. Still have frost trap if things really hit the fan, though :p
I'm "hovering over" deciding on #3, but thought I'd get some advice on this before moving forward.
What do others who have boxed hunters think?
