I am setting up my second pc. I did 5 accounts on 1 pc with keyclone up to now. I plan on doing 2 keyclones but I cant decide which software to use to broadcast my mouse and keyboard to the other pc. I planned on using synergy but everyone has been talking about all the problems with vista. I run vista64 and want to know what the most reliable software is to use.

I've been using Input Director ('http://www.inputdirector.com/') since I gave up on synergy (only have it installed still because I sometimes want to use my Mac next to my PC). I've yet to try it on Vista, as I've only just installed it and need to get WoW moved over, but it's run absolutely flawlessly on everything I've put it on under XP.

I downloaded that the other day. I have not tried to set it up yet. Seems there are a few options and all the threads I am reading about synergy has problems. I will start off with input director and see how that does. I am not sure about that one you have to pay $40 for. It sounds good but I will give input director a shot.

I use KaVoom! KM between 2 PCs both running Vista Ultimate 64.

Unlike Synergy, it just works; nothing to configure apart from the name of the PC to connect to.

It costs; but has not caused me any trouble; works well with WoW (no insane spinning that Synergy did).

Edit:
It also works before logging in and I can use either PCs keyboard/mouse on either PC (i.e. its peer-to-peer rather than server-client).
Hmmm, looks like KaVoom also got multicast support (see sticky)...
