Up until now i have used a macro to get my alt to follow, assist, etc. so when my main starts a figlht the alt joins in fighting the same mob. I just started to use jamba, not all working yet though for me, and I am having this problem. As I saaid it is my fault i am sure as others do not seem to have it. I am sure I have left something out due to lack of knowledge. I used /jamba-follow master all an it seems to work fine. But when my main starts a fight my alt does not join in fight. she just stands there. Berfore using jamba I had this problem because she did not have any /assist. I do not know what to add to/in jamba to do this. Please if anyone can help, with examples, i would appreciate it.

Jamba will not start combat for you. You macro still needs /assist, etc. (All you are doing is replacing the /follow part).

Pretty much, you can command your toons to follow the current Jamba leader, via a macro.
Or you can have the addon... strobe the auto follow command every second, and to reinitiate it immediately following combat.
I prefer the manual macro for follow, so I can position toons to avoid AoE or whatever.
In that case, you make it a habit to click the auto follow macro before you move.
You still need to click your attack macro's.
Most of us have either a Big Button, or 2 to 3 combat buttons.
On the main, it might be Fireball spam.
On the alt, assist the main and spam Shadowbolt.
But you still need to press the macro keys.
You get the idea.

/assist <character name>
or
/assist party1

so just to be sure i have it, this would work for a big button approach:
/jamba-follow master all
/cleartarget
/focus party1
/target party1
/follow
/assist
/stopmacro
then the follow strobe would keep alt following and the assist/target would not change thus needing to press button only once. unless movement key is pressed

If you are follow strobing, you need to change your macro to use the follow strobing commands...
Have a look at the thread:

I have all myl jamba settings matching yours. I have tried several different /assist macros to get my alt to assist main. she still does not frie at main's target wneh i press atk button/macro. I have my first 4 buttons 1-4 mirrored on main and alt. they just cast different spells. in the past pushing button 1 caused both main and alt to attack the main's target. now nothing. I am thinking this is not something i can figure out.everything else seems to work but the combat. I do not know where t o go from here. If I am to continlue, I need specific instructions on what to set up and where. i realize this is not your problem and probably a waste of your time. I would like to use this but without the combat part working I will have to give it up.
thank you for all that you tried. sorry for wasting your time also. sigh

If you just have two toons, go back to your old macros before you installed Jamba/MultiTool. So leave your old follow / assist macros as they were.
In Jamba, make sure you have both toons in your team list (type /jamba). Set your main as the master in Jamba. Make sure that both toons have the same team list.
You should now be able to use Jamba for Taxi / Quest sharing and the combat / follow will work the way it did before; no need to put additional commands in your macros.

ok thank you. the taxi and quest stuff work fine. follow works as long as i keep hitting the follow button. Is this what should happen or should the strobefollow be working? i can live with it if it is normal but would be nice if strobe was working. ty again
<edit> ok i had unchecked the auto follow after combat. that now works. only time i seem to break follow is when i loot on my alt. i am guessing that is the way it works. if so, ty very much for the help. in fact ty anyway. lol this is great

You need to add special commands in for follow strobing. The post I linked above has some decent examples (I don't use it myself).
