My RAF is coming to and end and I have lots of toons at 60. Gold has been a issue and will continue to be with training (even the minimum) and flying mounts to come. My 2 "mains" are only lvl 73 so not a lot of gold is coming from them.

I was toying with the idea of not upgrading 3 of the accounts and farming Isle Dailies on those when they hit 70. I've done some math out and I'm not sure it will be worth it.

Does anyone have any Ideas or advice on this strat? or should I suck it up and level them all up to 80 training what I can.

What do you guys think?

the advantage is that it will be empty, and therefore quick.
disadvantage is taht it's very repetitive, boring, you still need to get to 70 before you can do them.

Doing northrend quests will get you gold faster than doing QD dailies, and you have far more to do per day.

You'll get probably 75-125% of the gold of each QD quest just doing northrend quests, PLUS the experience (~4-5g per quest plus a lot of the rewards sell for anywhere from 5-12g each).

put it this way.. 10g a quest and left with a level 70 char or 10g a quest and left with a level 80 char able to do 20g quests... and at level 80 you "can" still go back and do level 70 dailys.

You'll make far more money in Northrend and you'll level up your characters. If you want money, just farm Basin for ore for a hour a day, you'll probably make close to 500g easy. And if you want more gold, just farm it for 5 hours, something you can't do on the isle.

Yea, I would say level the characters to 80, then do dailies. I'm making around 1000g in about an hour and a half going to Icecrown and doing the Ebon Hold dailies, the dailies from the airship above Ymirheim (Ogrim's Hammer or Skybreaker for Alliance) and the dailies in Grizzly Hills. That, and Northrend ore is crazy expensive right now, so level a miner. The Grizzly Hills dailies I believe are around level 74, so you can start those pretty early (and get Warsong rep).

you need to get 1 miner, 1 herbalist and one skinner skills up for each of your teams.
they need to be a full 300 before they can skill up and do outland stuff however
once they are close to 375 go to northend and become a grand master, you can still skill up skinning/mining/herbs in the outlands usually to beyond 400 skill.
a stack of copper should sell for at least 2 gold while saronite is crazy expensive.

At 275 or whenever you're able to train in Outland, its worth a port there to do so.
Each of my teams was well over 350 in skinning, one was 375, prior to setting foot in Outland.
Herbalism and Mining varied between 320 and 350, by the time the toons entered Outland.

On my first few 60's to enter Outland (prior to being a boxer) it was very frustrating to be a 300 skinner, unable to skin the 61-63 Hellboars, and averaging 5 attempts per level 60 boar; until the skill was 315 or so, Skinning was a real pain.
Not so for my boxed teams, gathering skills were much more fun for them.

*Edit*
And with a port there, you pick up a few Flightpaths to Shatt, so you can more easily train as you level.
