Just picked up keyclone last night starting to try to set it up this morning.

Basic issue I am having is when i open up the keymap window and hit save nothing happens. I dont seem to be getting any kind of a "save-as" dialog box when I hit load it will prompt to browse for the location of a *.kcl file i think it was, tried searching my entire PC for anything *.kcl incease it auto saved it in some location but no such luck.

I am running windows vista I would doubt that would cause the issue as the rest of the program seems to work fine (though I havent done much with it yet)

Another few things, currently just to get a feel for how things are working I have unbound F2-F12 on my Main I bind the G1-Gwhatever keys to F2-F12 and I planed to do somthing like this...

Keymap on my Main
F2 -> followmain
F3 -> assistmain

Keymap for my mage
followmain -> 1
assistmain -> 2

then have assist / follow macros on those keys

What I think I would rather do later is bind G1 - G whatever to keys my main will NEVER use. Like those odd ball characters like the copywrite symbol and such that why I dont have to unbind his F2-F12 keys (I never really used them anyway, Use F1 for target self now and th en though so I left that one)

Biggest thing now is getting the keymaps started once I can do that I think This will be one hell of a setuP :)

Thanks for the help

Hi Thad and welcome to multi-boxing

for the basics, you don't need to use keymaps. they are more for the more advanced stuff.

check this thread and see if it helps get you started
http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums2/viewtopic.php?t=2074

if you are set on using teh keymaps, that's cool. also consider using commands.. they help for auto-loading a keymap to a specific instance of wow.

btw... 2 things with the current release. 1) make sure your short-cut has tthe keyclone directory set as the starting directory. otherwise it won't save the settings in the correct location. and 2) when you make a keymap, do not put anything in the box at the top.. just fill in the description and hit save with the box to the left of the save button empty. this should force it to show you the file selector box. anything you put in the field to the left of save would be treated as a file name. and if you didn't specify an absolute path... where is lands is anyones guess. (really need to remove that edit box)

let me know if that helps. good luck,

Rob
