inspiration for this UI comes directly from Fuzzy's bitling.blogspot.com
I still need to change pitbull player and target frames and add elkano target buffs/debuffs to right side of screen.
I use an n52 - bottom row of (middle) buttons is default - bottom left and right are used when I tilt mousewheel left and right. I use the red button on the n52 to shift the keys into "red state" which is the upper row - still using the wheel tilt on my g5 mouse to use the left and right sides of the top row. I use mouse scroll for targeting baddies. Also have alot more functionality to fill in in my buttons. Some will be left blank because they are used on the slaves for things. The bottom row of the main bar (bottom center) is for most of my DPS and healing macros that exist on my dps toons.
Using the logic from a previous post, all of these keys send modifiers to my other instances so all 84 keys are used in a FTL fashion. I use "FTL and hold" (which has been covered here by others - and is brilliant), which is done with two buttons that are used with /click. Those two buttons are labelled "WHO" and "HARM" - my assualt macros /click HARM (which only assists if the toon currently has no live target) and my heal macros and follow etc use the /click WHO. So when I change my team up there are only two macros I need to change (on each character) to make it work. Since its all kept in Macaroon, I have a plan to write a script that will update all the macaroon.lua files (the ones in the character saved variables folders) for me to make changing up teams even easier.
In the first pic I'm showing that one of the party isn't topped off on mana - so that bar shows bright blue. Otherwise the bars fade to .2 alpha (like all the others). This helps me when I'm tanking with a good group and we get some momentum going - I have been known to be 'mana-inconsiderate' at times and this will help me with that. I had to mod the ghud addon so I could disable the player and targe frames. Player and target hud frames are done so much better in Icehud that I use it for the player and target frames. (Icehud has cast bar/ other timed bars - ghud is pretty stripped down simple and doesn't have many of the things you come to rely on.
The second picture is just showing a bit of action and I can keep better track of whats going on with the party SO much easier while keeping my eyes in the center of the screen.
In raids, the party frame is replaced by a 5x5 grid for raid members. I will likely replace the pitbull raid frame with Grid.
Anyway, the main reason for this was having your party health/power bars in your hud, this was HUGE for me. Fewer "oh crap, I didn't even realize she was taking damage!"
The mods were fairly simple. I'm no programmer but it was pretty easy to find what needed added/changed so you could turn off player and target frames. There is still a bug that turns on "empty" bars whenever I go into the config - so if I want to change something I have to activate and deactivate the frames again to make sure they stay off when I exit config. I'd be happy to post or email the changes to anyone that wants them.

EDIT:
Oh yeah- I use macaroon for my action bars. They are laid out exactly as the buttons are laid out on the n52 - so there is minimal 'learning' where my buttons/skills are - the button I need for skill "x" is right where it is on the screen. This was big for me too. So much faster to learn/re-learn button layouts. Very easy as well to put in a 'blank' macro that has the icon of the spell the slave has there - for a quick reminder of where the slaves abilities are in the scheme of things.
