First off I want to thank everyone for this awesome forum. I started Dual boxing 2 warlocks 2 weeks ago and I've been having a blast.

I have a 70 warrior and 70 shadowpriest that I would like to start dual boxing for some quests and PVP. The problem I see is a warrior is a button masher/spammer and the priest isn't.

Has anyone run with a warrior/priest combo and how do you deal with the differences in style? I'm assuming that the warrior would have to be lead with the SP on follow in order to stay on the target.

Any tips are greatly appreciated :)

I would try voicecommand. That way you can give your priest voice commands to shield, fear, wand, sw: death, etc easily. I used to dual box a hunter and priest, and if I had voicecommand that would have totally rocked.

Vampiric Touch, Shadow Word: Pain, Vampiric Embrace, Mind Blast, Mindflay, Shadow Word: Death, Mana Burn, drop out of Shadowform to heal, heal, heal, pop back into Shadowform to repeat. If that's not button mashing I don't know what is ;)

Regardless, this is what I do when I run my SPriest behind my Warrior (she usually just heals the Warrior and Pally though).

Warrior - Priest
2 - Charge/Shouts - Vampiric Embrace/Shadow Word: Pain (castsequence) - Priest is running on /follow at this point so instants are necessary
3 - Death Wish/Trinkets - Vampric Touch - By this time the Priest should have caught up and able to cast on 1.5s
4 - Heroic/Mortal spam - Mind Blast/Mindflay (castsequence) - Great for auto-facing if you get turned around
5 - Overpower - Mind Blast/Mindflay (castsequence)
6 - Execute - Shadow Word: Death (this is my kill key, with my Pally it's Execute + Judgment of Command + SW: Death, yeah overkill)

Most SPriest spells are non-directional, so it's great if you do get turned around (VT, VE, SW:P, SW:D, etc.)

I also have the entire 10-keypad set up for heals (since you drop Shadowform whenever you cast a healing spell now). Very simply:

7 - Renew Warrior
8 - Flash Warrior
9 - Greater Heal Warrior
4 - Renew Pally
5 - Flash Pally
6 - Greater Heal Pally
1 - Renew Self
2 - Flash Self
3 - Greater Heal Self

Then I have Shadowform bound to F12 so that I can jump back in and continue my grinding process if necessary. It's also good if I get jumped and am currently healing.

It is extremely helpful to have your common tasks sequenced to execute through a typical series of casts all in one macro/button. As an example, my petattack macro on the locks looks something like this:

/assist focus
/stopmacro [flying]
/dismount
/petdefensive
/stopmacro [help] [noexists] [dead]
/petattack

...and on the priest, that same key is:

/stopmacro [flying]
/dismount
/cast Power Word: Shield
/stopmacro [help] [noexists] [dead]
/script SetRaidTarget("target",7);

You get the idea. Having your heals sequenced is often good as well, especially if you're running the healer as a follower account. Macros such as this help condense your healing tasks:

/castsequence [target=targettarget] reset=12/combat power word: shield, renew, greater heal, greater heal, greater heal

Thank you very much for the replies. I think my next project is to dive into macros more and get a better understanding of content and structure.

I have been toying with them in PVP and that adds an additional rinkle to the mix as I haven't been able to convince my targets to stand still so I can kill them ;) With the priest on follow and the warrior chasing the target it has been tough to get off a decent heal to the warrior.

Again...thanks for the replies. I really appreciate it and I'm having a blast figuring out dual boxing!
