This is kind of a follow-up post I guess to a previous thread where there were quite a few multi-class boxers complaining about the difficulty of the starting instances like the Nexus (which I couldn't get past the first boss in X( ).

I was really getting pretty disheartened by the amount of content I was able to do. Quests are more of a pain because I have a warrior that basically picks his nose since almost all the mobs are dead by the time they get to my guys. He only helps out on the group quest mobs. In instances my group was having serious issues so it seemed like I was dragging around dead weight that was getting me nowhere.

I went into Drak'Tharon Keep last night at 75/76 and 1 shotted two of the bosses and 2 shotted the other two on my first time through. I'll be farming up my rested XP in there more this weekend since I've got tons of rested XP I couldn't get rid of just by questing and I hadn't been able to do any instances successfully in wotlk up to this point.

This came as a huge relief to me so I figured I'd post something to encourage others to keep at it. My group composition is a warrior, 3 destruction warlocks, and a priest. This instance is CAKE compared to the previous ones in my opinion.

wait til heroic and the soulmages can kill your whole group in about 6 secs if you can't strafe outta their void zones fast enough. I still die to those bastards once in a while and I know whats coming.

The soul mages can be tough in heroic. For a pull with a single soul mage its quite easy, I can take them down way before they do their void thing - flame shock + LvB + CL pretty much kills them.

On pulls with 2, omg...only ran this instance once but i killed one, then wiped, then killed the second one - I guess wiping once on them to continue isn't too bad though, ill try to figure out a better way to do this (hex?) without wiping on a 2 pull though.

Well since I have paladin: I avengers shield the furthest one back and run up the other and stun him. That one goes down fast, all the while I have to watch my shaman to see if that other bastard drops a void on them. Once the first one is down and if there is no void zone dropped yet I can usually kill the next with standard dps rotation. One time I wiped before even killing one as they instantly dropped a void on my shaman and while moving the shaman the other dropped one on my tank. I just stared at the screen for a second realizing that either: A. my dps is going to die or 2. my tank will. I was pissed that TRASH had wiped my party in about 6 secs =(

Tank them at the full distance away from the party that you can. They won't cast that damn void zone on your party then and sometimes on the tank.
