From Argent Dawn... FOR HORDE!

My name is Boom, and I'm a Shammieboxer. I've been a troll on these forums for some time now, but didn't actually take the plunge into multiboxing until a few weeks ago.

I was inspired by the Shammieboxers I saw here like Ellay (LOVE your site btw!) and Xbox. I've been an avid WoW player since open Beta, and I currently run one of the most popular guilds on Argent Dawn. (For Horde (http://www.forhorde.org))

I didn't bother sounding off here at Dual-Boxing.com, until I was sure I'd stick with it. Well, my team of Shammies hit 25 last night, and I felt it was time to introduce myself.

I am a web developer by trade, and love graphic design. So whenever I start a new hobby, I put alot of work into "branding" it, purely for the fun of it. Hence "Twenty Totems (http://www.twentytotems.com)". I'm also an RP'er, so I of course had to develop a story behind my Shammies, which if you're into that sort of thing, you can read about on my blog.

I decided that if I was going to put the time in to learn to multibox Shammies, I might as well document it, and hopefully introduce this new hobby to others in the process. I'm using my blog to document each step of the process, but I'm doing my best to "simplify" what I'm doing, so anyone can understand.

Last night I paid the $10 to have Pugh's name changed to Thunduh. So now he's matching his brothers.

How exactly do you pay $10 for a name change? Did they add some feature I didn't know about?

Does this allow you to make your character become unknown to those who knew you before under the old name? I have a character on a server who I'd like to give a fresh start to and shed some old baggage and ill feelings of the past.

I know folks who have done server transfers with name changes and still gotten themselves busted on old actions due to diligent players...

on your page, which is really good by the way it says about how your not sure if the mana tide totem stacks, im pretty sure it does :)

tell you what doesnt stack tho the mana regain drainei priest racial :( hope blizzard sorts this out, for me if noone else :P

I've grown a bit bored of my current 5 box setup. I had no idea about which totems stacked and what didn't. I didn't expect Healing Stream or Mana Stream to stack, that's great! I think tonight when I get home i'll have to try out a 5 Troll shaman maybe there's still hope for me with this game.

When did mana stream totems start stacking? Used to not get but one effect from it. 2.3, maybe?

That site rocked. I have been thinking i should start my multiboxing with shamans, since shamans it's what i love to play and people seem to do fine with just shamans. I will definitely keep watching that site.

Very nice site and I really like the story you created! I just started the other day with 4 shaman and added a 5th one, who I need to catch up now. The main group is around 20-21.

I liked reading about your WSG experience too - that is how my WSG adventure went at level 19. I mostly felt guilty for dragging our side down by being 40% of the entire Horde team...(played with 4 at the time)...

I am looking forward to seeing your 15 totem macro!

A single round of that usually straightens that out.

For the record, the Mana Spring totem does not stack or that would be OP for raiding / instancing. My mana efficiency is insane as is.

Water Shield now gives a flat 50mp/5 plus gives you 200 back per orb, last 10 minutes and gives you 600 mana if purged (as all globes are destroyed).

Thank you all so much for the encouragement. It's actually odd. I've been reading these forums for so long, and looking up to so many of you for the hard work you've put into Boxing. So to get compliments from you guys is actually bringing a smile to my face. You guys are celebs! (I expect this feeling to wear off once I realize you're all just jerks like myself.) :)

Zin, you're the reason I'm doing this bud. Argent Dawn is in the Ruin BG too. I was standing at the flag at the Stables one day, about to die, and your team of mages came rushing in and saved me. Was the coolest thing I ever saw. I wanted to whisper you to say how cool that was, but I figured you got enough of that crap already. Anyways, nice to meet you.

I just finished reading your site, looks great and I really enjoyed reading it. I especially liked the RP story behind your shamans (coming from an RP server myself).

I've been fooling around with boxing myself for about 2 weeks, started a bit more serious yesterday. (Currently 3-boxing mages, can't really do more because of funds and hardware limitations :()

I hope to hear/read more about your progress.
