Ok so first I tried running Heroic UK. It was my first time setting foot in a heroic in WoTLk and my first time setting foot in a heroic period with my DK. I went in with 537 defense, 21.6k hp, and ~1577 SP on my shamans (With flametongue but not including totem of wrath).

So, after wiping on prince about 9 times I decided to give up and high tail it to Gun'Drak.

Proud to say that I knocked out all the trash and the first 3 bosses on the first try without a single death. Definitely an easy instance. I only got to try the 4th boss once before I had to leave for a new years party. When he turned into a rhino he 2 shotted my tank before I could even heal him - wasn't really prepared so I'll either drop earth eles when that happens or just overheal as needed. Will definitely try it again in the next day or two. I got a decent helm upgrade for my DK which had a red and meta socket on it - once I gemmed it up I actually ended up with only 534 defense - 1 under uncrittable, so hopefully I'll be OK. My HP is 1k higher now and my dodge rating is up about 1% so that should help. One more heroic and I should have argent dawn reverred which will net me the enchant with def and stam so that should help a lot.

Anyway, just wanted to say that Heroic Gun'Drak is definitely a decently easy instance (at least the first three bosses which go by very quick). Can't wait to get this thing on farm for 5 badges. Thinking about trying DTK tomorrow and see how that goes :) Probably skip the second boss for now until I'm geared up a bit better.

The final boss is much tougher than the rest, though, but once you get some practice and some more gear he will go on farm for you, too.

After wiping for time after time after time on the final boss of Gundrak here is what I did and my gear didn't change.

I normally while I was wiping had all my DPS/healing in the same corner. Doesn't matter where but in a corner. I would always get him into rhino and same thing would happen I would get two shoted or I just couldn't keep the healing up. I will definiately say this is alot easier with a healer but never the less you should be able to do it.

I eventually split my crew up like ss2 did. I put two dps in one corner and another dps + healer into another, and I tank him in troll form close but not right beside either of the crews. Sometimes I get knocked back, but most of the time its good because he does whirlwind right after anyways which I might add (DO NOT STAY IN IT LIKE EVERYONE OR SOME GUIDES SAY). Everytime you get hit by it you take damage but you get a scaled damage dot which if you get hit by all 5 times of the whirlwind is a stacking dot of 10k damage every 3 seconds for like 9 seconds. Most of the time he goes rhino right after it anyways so that kind of spells disaster. Anyways kite him in troll during whirlwind and DPS him down. When in rhino just blow your Bloodlust then, keep tank healed and the moment you see whoever is impaled give them a heal and then back to your tank (Impaled person should only every need 1 LHW from all 4 if you got Healing Stream down). Stay def during rhino and then own him when he goes back to troll. If he goes rhino a second time your probably done for.

Thanks for the advice, based on that it looks like the whirlwind might be what killed me. I was staying in it mostly because it hardly looked like it was hurting me, and yeah he did turn into a rhino immediately afterwards and then killed me super fast, but maybe it was the rhino + the dot that killed me and I didn't know it :)

Will definitely be running this instance again tomorrow and maybe Drak'Tharon Keep as well!

I have never had an issue with the final boss. I heal like a mofo and thats it. I put all my girls on the left wall of the circle area. I snug them up against the center post there. and pull the boss to about the center area. When he turns into the rhino i heal faster and pull him right next to the girls. I place healing totems down as well.

Also you say 4th boss? He is the 5th boss, don't forget Eck in the cave 8)

Eck is an extra boss on heroic. A small wall opens up behind where you kill Moorabi. There is a cave with some adds before you spawn him in the last room in that cave. He is the 2nd boss for me because I kill Moorabi first.

After you kill Moorabi the wall in his room opens up and you can get to Eck from there.

Also there is 2 ways to enter Gundrak, one South leads to Moorabi and the North one leads to Sladran first.

How are yall killing the first boss Slad'ran or whatever. I cant get him past 20% before my tank or healer dies. Then all those damn snakes jsut screw me over. Any help is much appreciated.

Tank him with your DPS on the pile of bones in the next room (further into the instance) and tank him at the bottom of that pile. It'll take the snakes awhile to make it to you and your consecration will catch alot of them and before there is too many he should be dead.

Yeah I got the no snake wrap achievement as well. Either of our strats work and I have never wiped on him since.

I do something similar - I put my DPS on the platform at the top of the first ramp coming down from the entrance to the instance (so they're up one level from me). I drag Sladran into that room and just fire away - 4 healing stream totems completely negate snake damage and I actually got the no snake wrap achievement on the first try.

Alright I ran Gun'Drak again tonight and cleared all 5 bosses (Yay!). Not only that but when I did I got revered with Argent Crusade for the head enchant AND some nice shoulders dropped with extra stam. I also bought some tempered titansteel treads for the extra stam.

So now I'm sitting on ~24k hp, 535 defense, 17% dodge, 18% parry, 25k armor.

Eck was pretty easy. I wiped on the first try because I messed up with the taunting. I wanted to be 100% sure I owned him the second time so I dropped 4x earth eles which worked for AND against me... I never had to heal my tank, only had to chain heal on my shamans when he spit, but since the eles were all over the place every time he spit he would hit all my shamans. Wasn't that big of deal to heal through it (I had a nature resist totem down, not sure if that helped). Either way he was easy the second try.

The last boss wiped the floor with me the first time, and the second time I BARELY got him down. My tank was down, 3 of my shamans were down, my last shaman had 1k health and the boss had 500 health left and my LB went off JUST before his next hit otherwise it would have been another wipe. I think with the extra stats on my tank he will get easier now :)

So this will be my main farming instance now - all but the last boss are super easy (the first 3 bosses I've killed both times I've tried them without losing a single person).

The last boss was VERY easy for me when i decided to dps ONLY when he was in troll form and always dance around when he wirldwinds as it gives you some much free time.

The problem with the rhino part is that if i lose focus one or two seconds the tank is dead so i just fully focus on healing and 4x lesser healing waves when he enrages.

I only used 2 mana stream totems and didnt bother to change out my poison and disease cleansing totems. Keeping water shield up seemed to be enough!

I did have a dedicated healer wich makes the fight ALOT easier.

Riptide and earth shield + that 25% armor buff on critt heals is pure win.

Mana tide is a very nice boost when the time is needed.

That was a great tip dominian! I ran Gun'Drak again today and got the achievement with the Eck residue on cause I beat him the first try without losing a single shaman. Just as you said, I did nothing but cast chain heal and lesser healingw ave while he was a rhino, and then after the first rhino phase I used trinket/ele mastery/bloodlust and beat him before the next rhino phase :)

Ran Heroic UK again today and this time did it with no deaths. I changed one thing on prince that helped a LOT. Instead of mana spring totems I used glyphed healing stream totems x 4 - this cut down on how much I had to heal and nullified most of the ice tomb damage. That, combined with 4 fire elementals and blowing bloodlust and trinkets etc right at the beginning made it so he went down with no one dropping below 50% health. Was total cake.

Second boss went down on the first try, a bit hectic but not too bad, and honestly Ivar was by far the easiest boss. I hardly had to heal at all. Just took the first phase easy and used nothing but LBs and mana springs, then on the second phase I dropped 4x healing stream so I didn't have to chain heal after his roars, used bloodlust, trinket, ele mastery, etc, and he went down so fast I think he roared once and that was it. The best thing for this guy is to just make sure to tank him at max range and have a mod to see his cast bar and the rest is total cake.

Now I have to go back to DTK and get the achievement for that one :)
