Well, now that I have loremaster of northrend and have finished most all the quests on my team from each zone, I have amassed quite a large amount of money in ~2 weeks or so. Since the goal of amassing all the money (I already have epic flyers since 1 day after hitting 80) was to gear up for heroics, here are the things I purchased in the last week:

1x Titansteel Destroyer
4x Titansteel Guardian
4x Revenant's Breastplate
4x Revenant's Treads
4x Stormhide Wristguards
1x Titanium Earthguard Ring
1x Titanium Earthguard Chain
1x Tempered Titansteel Sabatons
Powerleveled JC on my shaman to 450

After all this I still have ~7000g left. If I had to estimate I'd say I made around 20,000g since hitting 80 just finishing all the quests I needed to finish (I spent ~2000g of it on epic flyers in addition to the 19,000g I already had when I hit 80 - my DK already had epic flying).

This is basically just propoganda to let you guys know how fast you can make money just finishing up quests. Honestly I probably made more than 20k, as I've spent a bunch of money on other random things and I gave great tips to people that made me the above items since it was really tough finding someone that could make some of them (OMG where are all the JCs?)

So now my tank is at the defense cap with only 1 defense enchant (doesn't even have the rep for the argent crusade defense enchant either lol) and my shamans are on about 1600 spellpower with flametongue weapon but no totem of wrath. Will probably try my first heroic in the next day or so (not tonight most likely since its new years eve and all).

The best thing is, even with spending all this money, the Icecrown dailies are so much friendlier than the QD dailies that it will be SUPER easy to make tons of money just running the dailies every day as needed. The only requirement to make them really friendly is having an epic flyer otherwise they would take forever.

I'm also probably just going to buy some more blue items for my shamans as well (most likely stormhide stuff). Hoping the extra resilience will help in heroics where they take AoE damage :)

If I could just force myself to finish leveling, this would be great...

I did all quests on my DK, but only did collection quests on my shamans when it opened up new chains without more collection quests. I'd say I did ~85-90% of all quests that my DK did on my Shamans.

Even if you factor in that collection quests took longer, it really wasn't that bad considering each one gave 16-22g plus an item that could be sold for another 6-12g on each shaman - even if the collection quest takes 20 minutes to do on all 5 chars thats still 125-150g in 20 minutes which isn't horrible. Plus this was balanced out by non collection quests that could be done in <1 min.
