Been using RAF for about 2 1/2 weeks, got Keyclone the same night I opened the trial account. Thanks to all the great infomation on these forums and the Wiki I have the following new characters so far:
NE Hunter x 2
Human Priest x 1
Human Mage x 3
human warlock x1
Human Pally x1
All level 59 1/2 (to grant levels) My trial account has since been upgraded to WoTLK and yes (sadly) has a DK on it as well. My biggest enlightening moments came since Christmas day when I finally had time to just sit and read. I have read what seems like hundreds of threads and have learned more about macro's this week than the previous 4 years playing WoW (I am actually a day 4 player).
If I could give just 1 piece of advice about multi-boxing, it would be this: Read, just read it all. Don't just do searches, even if the title doesn't seem like you'll be interested, read it anyway. There is a plethora of information scattered throughout the forums, but don't bother there until you have read the Wiki's, especially the macro Wiki (it will make more sense, trust me).
I may not have the most mana efficiant system, but I transfered one of my 70's to my clone account 2 days ago. I now Dual box a 70 BM Hunter and a 70 Ele Shaman with my wife playing a 70 Holy Priest. On my hunter I have 3 main macro's:
*Before we start, I was a clicker until about 3 months ago, so modifiers are too hard for me to remember, so I use statements instead to help cast inteligently*
Macro 1
/petattack
/cast Hunters Mark
/cast [target=pet] Misdirection
/targetlasttarget
Macro 2
/castsequence reset=target Rapid Fire, Concussive Shot, Steady Shot, Arcane Shot, Serpent Sting, !Auto Shot
/castsequence reset=target ,,Concussive Shot, Steady Shot, Arcane Shot, Serpent Sting, !Auto Shot
Macro 3
/castsequence reset=combat Intimidation, Bestial Wrath
/cast !Auto Shot
By using macro's 1 and 2 in sequence, I am sure to hit the target with my biggest threat shots first while misdirection is fresh on my pet, helping it maintain good agro for the duration.
on the shaman I have:
/castsequence [target=focus-target] reset=target , ,Elemental Mastery, Lightening Bolt, lightening Bolt, Frost Shock, Lightening Bolt
/castsequence [target=focus-target] reset=target , , ,Lightening Bolt, lightening Bolt, Frost Shock, Lightening Bolt
and
/cast [target=focus-target-target, exists, help, nodead] Lesser Healing Wave; [target=focus-target, exists, help, dead] Ancestrial Spirit; [taget=focus, dead] Ancestrial Spirit; [target=focus, nodead] Lesser Healing Wave
I know for a fact that the hunters macro's work perfectly, and the shaman's damage macro works as advertised, but I do not know if the heal/rez macro works since I just combined the healing and the rez macro's together. (Sanity check please?)
I have hunters macro 2 and shaman macro 1 on the same key which is continuously spammed.
