Loved the instance - hadn't attempted it on normal so it was fun learning it on heroic. Challenging yet doable the whole way through...until...The Faceless One. They should just have great big neon letters floating around that insta-kill multiboxers that get to him instead =) Anyone figured out a way to get past his insanity yet?

Not done him on heroic yet, but I'd go and try to get 3 dd killed as soon as possible into the fight and just do it with tank and healer. This way only 2 mirror images will spawn per char.
Insane strategy for the insanity phase :)

kind regards

I've only done it twice and it have been pretty close both times. I am playing 4 shamans and I let 1 of the shamans die before the first insanity, either keep him out of the room or let him aggro the boss! As stated above, then it's easier to deal with the mirrors.

Try to hug in a corner, so a thunderstorm won't knock them away from eachother (some might fly anyway). First insanity I hit thunderstorm on all of them and then fire elemental, the fire elemental benefits alot, because the characters is standing ontop of eachother. Then I single dps with a single of the shamans, and have the 2 others keeping themselves alive. My paladin tank can take down the mirrors really fast, cause of the characters standing ontop of eachother :) First insanity should be over.
If you don't drop new fire totems, the fire elemental should still be there next insanity if it didn't die. If they're dead, do the same as first insanity, but you might have to cast fire nova and use bloodlust instead of the fire elemental :-)

All my shamans are elemental, so I wouldn't be able to do as nomenguis, but I actually had 1 shaman dying in the second insanity and then it was 2 elemental shamans and the tank - it came down to bubble = kill :-)

I forgot to mention, that you could save the last mirror during each insanity to save up some mana, you have 3 minutes in the insanity phase before the boss aggros again.

I downed this final boss sometime last month on the first pull I made without any real strategy. I lost a couple guys by the end, but the tank and healer were never in any danger of death because the tank just wasn't taking damage and the healer could heal through it. However, I am waiting a while to do it on heroic.....

So, finally cleared that place on heroic. First tried the normal way, and failed miserably. Letting all three dps die is not an option either because the bosses dmg is too high on hero to drag the fight.
However, I came up with an even more insane tactic for insanity :)

What I do now is the following:

.) Tank kills his adds.
.) Shamans (yea, 3 ele and the restro) just renew water shield (very important) and lesser healing wave themselves.

The shamans also drop nr totem.

When the tank killed his adds he'll land in one shamans insanity. I then heal the tank to full with this shaman, but don't do anything with the tank anymore after that.
After 3 minutes or so all adds will despawn und you'll end up with 100% mana and hp.

Rather insane, and depends on shaman stuff, so most likely not practical for other comps, but it works great for me :)

Ya know I wondered if this happened. I PUG'd this once and I noticed that when insanity ended I still had my adds up (since they were all spaced out casters). Thanks for testing it for me!

This is what i do.
have my mage and lock each cast one cast at the boss, let them die.
Pickup aggro with the pally. shaman dps, druid heal... in comes insanity 1. since the druid just casts nourish on everyone its damn near impossible to kill adds. So i just self-heal a bit, wait out the 2 minutes.... then make sure the pally picks up the aggro again. In comes phase 2 of insanity, rinse and repeat till finished. :)

This is one that is pretty easy with huntard+druid healer setup, at least on normal mode.

4xBig Red Gorilla
4xMend Pet
4xFeign Death :)

I usually take manual control of one of the hunters and burn down adds with Volley, sick that that pet on the insanitized druid and stun it for the kill. Look over at the druid periodically and heal him to make sure he doesn't die. I can generally work my way out of insanity relatively easily this way, in 20-30 seconds.

I previously read that you can switch weapons just before insanity so that you don't hurt each other. I didn't get to try it though. I've cleared this on normal like 15 times and never had to do it, but never heroic.

On heroic though, I did this the other day and gave up on the first boss. What's your strat for keeping your healer alive when the guardian comes out?

KIll him at the beginning of the instance, he'll have maybe one guardian find his way to you, kill it, with no other adds, its cake. Youll also get the achievement if your quick enough and the guardian doesnt find you, i think they despawn after a second if they cant locate your party.

If that works that would be awesome. I have 4 dps but I think 1 of my DPS would be strong enough to heal through the bosses damage long enough to get to the front of the instance. I might try this one. Is there any reason you couldn't do this with all 5 characters leading the boss to the front of the instance? (In case I needed the extra healing)

might be a good time for a sprint potion and divine protection to pull the boss to start of instance so you don't need to even move healer.

(In case I needed the extra healing)I only use healer/tank so when i get back i have 3 dps staring straight at the boss with totems ready to rock, no setup time with engaged with the boss. As you can see from my sig I run a druid healer, so he just HOTs the pally while he runs. Tank gets hit for 3-4k a few times, and i almost always have to use HOP on the druid so he doesnt get aggro from a few small skirmishers the boss spawns on the way there (2-3).
