It seems that we are going to get the ability to switch between 2 different specs at no cost in the not so distant future.

All sounds good to me :)

All sounds good to me :)Agreed. The only downside is gearing for two specs, and keeping room in your bags for both sets. :) (leveling cloth and leather will be easier with the crafted pve/pvp sets)

Depends on how its implemented. Personally, I think they ought to just cut the cost of respeccing to a 10G cap.

Cant say i agree..

I doubt its the price that stops people from respecing but the time it takes to do it.

Im too undergeared to do PVE with my paladin and 4 pure elemental shamans.

The paladin is always prot but my shamans needs to be hybrid specced and one dedicated healer.

Doesnt sound like you ever played a healer and joined a BG were you only see green rogues and mages that dies before you can get a flash of light off. Thoose are the time you will equipp your imba retadin gear and smack theyr brains out!

i'd just like the possibility to "save" a talent build or two, instead of having to re-click all the talent points.
cost is nothing these days

I use the addon talented, gives you ability to import wowhead and blizzard templates, and save them, so its pretty close to what blizz is cooking up. I'd just like to be able to do it without going to a trainer, then changing my spell bar because I learned and unlearned skills...

The only downside is gearing for two specs, and keeping room in your bags for both sets. :) (leveling cloth and leather will be easier with the crafted pve/pvp sets)This will be really nice for me. My three clothies (mage, priest, warlock) and my hunter will keep their gear the same for the most part. I just like the option of switching between solo and group spec for them, and with the changes to spell power even the priest can do well without swapping out gear. Even my shaman will have it easier, she already has three sets of gear (melee, spell, healing) and that will become two sets (melee, spell/healing). Not sure about the paladin though. I don't expect to solo him all that much, but I suppose I would still want a set of tanking gear and a set of healing gear.

But being able to switch between two primary specs quickly for my characters will be really nice. :)

Sounds to me likes it's YOU who haven't played a wide range of characters. Filling out a secondary spec for a character is pretty easy, to the point it takes about 60 seconds to redistribute your talents points once you cough up the Gold. The truly hard part is planning your talent build and learning how to play your new spec well, not to mention gearing up for it. Dual-spec eliminates none of those obstacles. The only thing it actually eliminates is the cost associated with constantly changing back and forth.

The thing is, dual specs are more of a boon to some classes than others. Most straight DPS classes will be looking at a PvP/PvE set up for their respective specs. Enter the hybrids, such as Druids, Paladins, Shamans, etc. who not only have 3 potential PvE specs, but several PvP specs as well. As such, not only do hybrids see a larger cost in learning and gearing, they're still having to pay $$$ to hop around.

Bottom line, 50G isn't that much for one time talent switch. 100g to switch to and back starts to sting. It begins to add up if you're doing it several times a week and only just for long enough to fill a hole in a team/group.
