A Mac multi boxing forum for all new to multboxing on a mac, or want to learn new tips and tricks, stay up to date on what new mac updates will do would be awesome.
I think it would be since half the time i am searching mac in the duel-boxing.com search engine.

Thats why we have the software section, you can post a new thread and label the prefix "other" Maybe we could add "Mac" to the available prefixes, but an entire section for mac related stuff when its already discussed as clonekeys in software and so much in general already?

I don't see the point of a Mac-only section either, and i use Macs.

Once you figure out what your machine(s) can run, and you get Synergy and Clonekeys up and running, everything else, macros, tactics, ect... is platform agnostic (ie. good for any OS - Mac, PC, Linux, whatever)

Any issues that pop up, like CloneKeys breaking with the last patch, was covered here very well, and linked to the chat on the WoW site.

I think just putting "Mac" in as a prefix is all we need, honestly. I've never had an issue here, as a Mac user.

PS - We don't have any Mac bashing here, like most forums - that's something I LOVE about this place - been there, done that, sold the t-shirt on Ebay years ago.

it was a suggestion only. i found this stuff i know, just see a lot of post about mac users needing help though i would ask if it was a good idea.

we definetely don't want to discourage suggestions by any means. Its just adding a forum is something we don't do unless there is a really, really big need for it.

Hi,

i understand that adding another forum is a bit "overpowered" for us Macies.
But i stopped using the search function a long time ago as there is no way
to look up the word "mac", it always gets you the none is found.

So you have to shoot up a new thread everytime you have a question and we not
only using the Software forum, cause there a lot of differences between pc and mac
outside clonekeys.

So is there a way to expand the search function so that we find the 3-letter-word?

Thanks in advance.

HertomeThere is not a lot we can do with the search as it is. I have a solution coming, but its definitely a "Soon": http://www.wowwiki.com/Soon as it is a bit larger scale than reworking the search function.

So as some sort of resolution, I'd say keep making posts if you can't find you're answers via search, that is what the forums are for right? People post dozens of threads non-mac related everyday that have been posted before because they didn't use search, I wouldn't punish anyone for posting a thread when they answer couldn't be found by a specific key phrase (especially one so short).

Im boxing on a Mac, currently 3 mages at level 35. And of course now i need a couple of pallys to tank and heal because real people just dont do it right...silly people. Anyway how about just a sticky post in the New Multiboxing Forum?

As far as i can tell, for me, the only diffrence between boxing on my Mac or a PC are a few Mac only key combinations and the the name of the software used to broadcast keystrokes. It really is basicly the same across platforms. Its more about the Game and the player than the OS. Just my $.02
