Using KeyClone to connect my machines together and I've run into a problem from time to time... sometimes for no apparent reason the machines would refuse to connect...

After some bit of frustration, static and dynamic ip assignments not changing anything, and an overall level of GRRRRR I tried something so obvious that many may overlook it...

When connecting instead of just putting the IP address in, put in both the IP and the port shown in the titlebar of KeyClone. So to connect to the machine shown you would put in 192.168.1.99:1322 and doing it this way hasn't failed me yet.

I'm not sure WHAT is wonky about my home network, but something certainly was causing KeyClone to not connect on a regular basis and this fixed it dead... so I hope this helps folks :).

well.. the default is 1320... if it cannot pull the port, it'll try the next until it finds one
