I've been considering it.
Two major points:
* Earth Shield prevents the instagib
* We have our NS back, which means being more likely to go 5vs4

Edit: Actually another MAJOR point.. no spell pushback whatsoever due to earth shield + 70% talents.

What I dont like is that I have grown VERY attached to instant ghostwolf for battlegrounds. It is a must to get away from tanks, chase tanks etc.

Yea, I dont think this is a good spec for BG's. Here you will need either good dps or good healing. But I think this spec might be viable in arenas IF you can put out enough burst to kill someone.

that's the problem, it doesnt really have burst dps. It just has great survivability... which might MIGHT do well in arenas, but with the amount of burst going on now... yea.

Yes hm well... I really don't have a problem with killing people with FS + Lava Burst as long as there's no grounding totem up to eat it.

The nice part is that you can get some pretty massive healing from 4x healing stream + earth shield on all.
However.. do you know if AOE dps triggers the Earth Shield?

Or well, the really cool part is that you get tons of passive healing:
Healing Streams (ticking for 200-250 each)
Earth Shield
Nature's Guardian


So you can focus on offensive casting while your healer keeps the team alive.

oh you said solo in the title so I assumed solo pvp, which as elemental is unbearable. Solo it might make you last 2 more seconds to bring total survivability to 4 secs in world pvp.

Alrighty I just played 4 EOTS with this 30/0/41 spec.. and.. HOLY CRAP it sucks.
Basically, contrary to what one may think, you can get bursted down so fast by meelee that you will barely have time to press your healing button before you're dead.
I think the reason for this is the "internal" cooldown on Earth Shield and Nature's Guardian, making your defenses somewhat useless against multiple meelee.


Problems:
* No astral shift - your team dies very fast during an AOE silence or AOE stun.
* Mana issues - you are using Earth Shield to survive which makes you go OOM really fast. Granted you may have mana tides, but that's another micro management duty for you.
* No way to get meelee off you with TS.. this proved to be a very very big problem. Round-robin TS is probably the best survival tool shaman have at the moment, especially since many of our deaths are from Retris, DKs, Warriors, Rogues.


I'm glad I didn't try this spec in 5v5. Would have been so roflstomped. :)



This spec MAY be good for solo shammies in 5v5 to play a more supportish role, preventing instagibs on teammates with earthshield while at the same time putting out some respectable burst with FS and LvB.
However I'm convinced this is not for multiboxers. :)
