I find myself already running out of macro space *sigh* - and they are all so useful! Any thoughts on a SuperMacro replacement etc?
Thanks!

Update:
Read the comments on this addon: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/373/
Among the comments are blue quotes and patch notes stating that the macro limit is now 18+18 per toon, and anything over that will cause an error... Shame

You could make an addon customized to your needs with a bar that you can have custom script actions binded to the buttons, and then put in the api call to add it to the wow bindings list.
I havent done this myself before but i know its possible its just a pain having to make the addon.

Kind of an old post but I am new to the forums.
You can try Trinity bar it allows you to macro directly on a button in essence having unlimited number of macro's.

Trinity Bars 2 is an absolute bastard to set up sadly as version 1 IMO is the bees knees. :?

Yeah version 1 was nice. Version 2 is a bit of a mess I still use it on a few of my toons as I am too lazy to change what is working. The configuration does indeed have a bit of a learning curve compared to other bar mods but it does work as advertised.
Welcome to the world of modifiers and compound macros. 7 spells on a single key if you can stay below the 255 letters.

I gotta tell ya I am not a big fan of that many modifiers my brain would scramble. I certainly do use some modifiers to decrease the number of macros though.
I like the N52 color shifting and keeping related spells in the same slot. I have been lucky in that I have not exceeded my macro's. Combine the N52 with my MX revolution and I have a ton of abilities at my finger tips.
Yeah i hear ya but the modifiers realy shine if you group them right.
Heal key: "R"

in the world of multiboxing it seems you cant always have your cake and eat it too. You can either forego some macros and just use lots of different keys/keypads or make painfuly modified macros like this to do multiple things (or one thing to multiple targets) Now I know the above is just an example of all the modifiers but just wanted to remind everyone that you will hit the 255 char limit very quickly. using 2-3 modifiers per macro is easily within reason however.
@baxenet, maybe I just misunderstood you but I dont think that will work since you can use scripts to do anything with your character (cast spells, change targets, etc) so Im not sure how creating a new add-on will get around this apparent new hard cap of 18+18. The advantage of having multiple boxes however is that first 18 is the ones shared between characters on that account. so in essence each character does indeed have 36 macros at a size of 255char each to use Which is quite a lot especially if you use atleast one modifier in there you have essentialy doubled again what you can do. The catch 22 is remembering what they all are though :)
(I only have about 10 macros per character at the moment but my group is only lvl 12 and my spellbook is not even half the size it will be)

Bindpad?
Supermacros?
Supermacros, if it's the adon I think it is, no longe works as stated in this thread, you're now limited to the ammount of default macros and can't increase this, at least not with Supermacro or similar adons.

Bindpad does work, but it is not a macro extender. I would recommend it though.
What I think would be "perfect" is a working version of McRaire's Macro texter (or whatever her name was).

Shogun and Ghallo have it right... bindpad is great (essential for me) but the macros have to exist already and supermacro has had its teeth pulled :(

I made the switch from Trinity 1.0 to the latest Trinity Bars 2 last night... fantastic addon, hugely improved, unlimited macros! (almost) unlimited buttons! I can have every spell i need, plus "blank" macros for Icons and spellnames for the alt toons on my mains bars etc.
Well over 130 buttons so far...
You can have 120 "action" buttons this can be a normal macro, spell, item, etc.
120 spell buttons (spells only, dragged straight from the spell book as normal)
120 item buttons (items in inv)
120 equipment items (though you'll only need 1 for each eq slot at most...)
120 Trinity macros (pure win.)
I think that's it, but damn that's alot of space :o
