Guys,

I play multibox on one computer, and have 2 others that I sometimes single box on -- Now I'm having huge issues keeping these installs in sync, macro and ui wise.

For instance - Last night, I moved the WTF\Accounts\Account1 through Account4 from main multibox computer to a laptop. Note that I didn't move the whole WTF thing.

Then I played some on the computer I moved to, or rather just logged on and checked stuff - Didn't notice anything missing, but might have been since I didn't play "for real".

So, I then log back on to the multibox computer this morning -- And DAMN!!

All but 1 of my slaves have the buttons in the wrong spots, and buttons missing - some further examining shows me that this is due to 20% of my macros are missing - Macros I had for months....

I use "standard wow macros", both character specific and account specific. I use bartender, which seemed to have lost it's keybindings to.

Any idea what made this happen? took me 30 mins to fix, and I rather not have it happen again :(

every since bliz started storing macros and keybinds on their servers i've had mine screwed up too from my labtop to my desktop, there is a command you can run in game to have it push all your macros and keybinds back to you but i dunno what it is, Funshpere has it i believe, send him a pm and i'm sure he will send it to you if he still has it. Or try google if you can't find it on these forums.

Setup all your macros the way you want them. after that type

/script BackupMacros();

this will save your macros to your machine they will be located in you wtf/accountname/server/toonname macros.old

then move the .old file to whatever computer you want to play on next

log in and type

/script RestoreMacros();

this will load the macros from your .old file

TO UPDATE YOUR MACROS SERVERSIDE

login on your character
while logged on open your wtf/accountname/server/toonname folder
delete all the macro files you see ( the .wtf and .old files)
make sure you DONT logout yet
now type
/script BackupMacros();
you should see it create macros.old in the folder
now type
/script RestoreMacros();
now it will create a new macros.wtf file (this is the file that is written to the server)
now logout to save your settings and ths will upload your new settings to the server

To save myself a headache i always keep an updated macros.old file from all my toons on a flash drive if i want to login somewhere else to mess around, always nice to have a backup cause it can get screwy
