lock epic mount

OK ne one ever have ne luck doing the epic mount quest im 5 boxing warlocks in dire maul goto the summoning lasted 5 mins and saw my ass get raped. Is there and easy way to possibly do this trying to get 5 mounts at once lol. Any help would be great since its a long mana intensive fight. People tell me to wait wait wait at 61 u can train yea 12g and another 500g for skill. No ty i want free mount tyvm.

Do the quests for the outland greens (HFP + Zangar) which will give you a nice set of gear and a couple of levels, then you should be able to do the quest with ease :)

ok just did it at 60 but no one the damn horse died outside the ring are u friggin serious. Died 4 times to finally do it and this wow wow n wow.

Ugh pretty sure just wait till your level 61 and go to your trainer again, blizzard said that "the epic quest line isnt epic anymore if no one else is doing it"
because its such a struggle to get in a group for people its now trainable at 61, same with paladins.

you still spend gold, only about 50-100g less though, and with the amount of effort, repairs, and time it takes to do the quest... might aswell just pay 200g more then what it would cost from the trainer.

if you can get a tank to help it makes it a lot easier. once the horse is dead you can drop any party member and summon new party members into the instance to talk to the spirit to get their mount.

At this point it looks like hes already spent the money to get this far in the quest line so just "training" the mount now would be a HUGE waste of money as he'd lose all the money he spent on the quest line PLUS the money he used to actually train the mount.

But yes, forget about your epic mount for 1 level, get 6-8 pieces of outland gear from questing (which will take all of 3-4 hours), then go back and slaughter the event easily.

try to get a healer/tank combo with your locks. when the horse dies and his ghost pops up, he will stay there for a loooooong time.

thank, then kick the healer and tank and invite your other locks. they will enter the same instance and talk to the same ghost horse to learn the spell.


and buying the spelll at level 61 is soooo not epic. blizz could have just moved the instance.

Ok i have 5 locks lock a is 61 i did the quest chain waaaay before i boxed so he has all the stuff to summon. Last night went in again same thing but got lvl 80 hunter. He killed everything while i kept the things up using shard after shard. After that killed horse and his sidekick summoned lonely lock back in there and nothing. The horse just said pulsing with rage but would not let me get the mounts for the other 4. Is there something im missing.

From the post above looks like he only did the whole chain on one lock and not the rest. he has to farm 60 black dragon scales and like 30 arcanite bars per warlock just to get the quest to goto dire maul and summon the boss. after he gets that quest theres a second quest to gather even more materials which only one lock has to do to actually summon the boss, the other locks just need up until the quest to go there

Is there something im missing.you have to do the quests on each lock up until the part where you get the quest to actually goto dire maul to summon him. which means you have to do the quests where u have to buy all those mats, the dragon scales, arcanite bars etc, the whole thing. even summon the imp in scholo to make whatever that part is. save yourself the hassle and just buy it from the trainer. you can make it back really fast in outland by selecting and vendoring the 2h/plate quest rewards

ahh ok cause im so close to making lvl 61 i guess i can wait and get it that way grrr lol.

Yeah...wow...I thought you were already that far. You have to do every single quest on every single lock - the only thing you save by having a lock that already did the quest is the 250g you spent on the 3 vendor purchasable materials.
