Farming vanilla raid instances for cash?

Is it viable? With onyxia dropping 160g and BWL bosses dropping 100-200g each, could it be a source of income for multiboxers? And is BWL even farmable?

The "problem" with MC in that regard is that the bosses only seem to drop 40-80g each, where in BWL the bosses drop around 150g each. I think razorgore should be doable, vael too, but I'm not sure how I'd to handle suppression room with no rogue and nef looks tricky also.

Problem is that I can do Icecrown dailies much faster. If you want a change in pace for farming then go for it, but dailies will always be faster. I hate clearing trash =(

BWL
Razorgore, Two things - can kill eggs at the same time as AOEing the adds. And two "tanks" or toons that can handle the beating because of Conflag.
Vael - I think our 40 man was hitting 4-5k DPS on Vael, maybe a bit more. But we burned through 3-4 tanks getting there. So getting the DPS shouldn't be a problem. Also need to spread out, because getting the bomb will wipe you, even at 80.
Broodlord - Multi tank again with the aggro drop
The 3 drakes should be doable, still have to watch aggro
Chromaggus - have to be able to dispel like crazy.
Nef, if you can hadle the class calls you should be ok, with your Ony Scale closk.


You group comp will make a difference and I don't think it is viable for farming sense, it should be fun to try though.

Kazzak and doomwalker are easily 5 manable with a proper tank and someone who can heal, and someone else who can cleanse(kazzak), and each one drops 500g + boe epics that I've been able to sell for 200-500g each
onyxia can be solod by certian classes, and is even easier with more than 1

Razorgore phase 1 is incredibly annoying to "solo". You have to pop the eggs while picking up all of the adds with a different character. The adds do negligible damage, but there's a lot. Mail+a shield or a moonkin is enough to tank razorgore himself.
Can you heal spam razorgore and use him to tank the adds while popping eggs? I don't really have the motivation to find out.

Don't think vael is so easy with less people. Him + his aura do very little damage, but you have around 50 seconds to do 1 million damage and then your tank dies. By the time that happens, at least 1 other person in your group will have died from burning adreniline, possibly 2.

If you have an enchanter and do the old raid bosses you can shard the loot into nexus shards then you can convert them in to void crystals then changed to LPS. depending on what they are selling for on your server you could make some good cash. but dailies are still faster than this but its a change of scenery

I've found it exceptionally tough to sell voids or LPS anymore... I still have a huge stockpile, been slowly selling them off as mongoose scrolls at maybe 1-2 per day max.

not relly worth dissing pre tbc items at all on my relam, as half the ppl on the server is enchanters and every sigel on of them have farmed that mount in startholmen so the price for that kinda regents is stuped low.

but anyway skip bwl and go for aq, in the 20 man version it takes me 40 mins to kill 5 bosses, i cant handel buro :(, and for the 40 man im pritty sure you can box every boss up to the twins, but thay will stop you, i did a 9 man pug in aq40 the other day non boxig and we clared it easy

i only do aq20 for enchant recipes and rep, but the skill books all bosses drob vendor for 10g eatch so it dose give some kinda money :)

Consistency is the thing. Especially since neither shards nor scrolls incur a listing fee...

I had close to 2000 voids and still have probably 20 stacks left. I could unload some for around 5g each, or I can sell mongoose scroll for 400g and the other mats cost 220g. So I get ~15g per void that way and actually end up moving a bigger volume.

8x Greater Planar Essence = 175g
40 Arcane Dust = 35g
Weapon Vellum II = 10g

Unfortunately there is not really any other enchant that requires voids or lps that will really sell well on the AH that I've found.
