Macaroon Profies and i lost my bars

I looked on the official macaroon thread and the FAQ and i am lost. I want to be able to have my bar layout saved between an ele build and a resto build and also between a ret build and a prot build on my shaman and paladin respectively.

I started playing around with my "profiles" section in the macaroon tab. I choose to save my bar layout, my button layout and data and i hit "load". All my bars went away. I clicked on the name of my saved profile and hit "load" again and it appeared. I decided to see if i could get it to disappear and reappear a couple more times... but when i clicked "load" again and they disappeared i can't now make them reappear. In the "stored buttons" i see all my buttons... i just don't know how to make them appear back on my screen.

So how do i save bar and button mapping and switch it out?

I gave up on Macaroon and now use Bartender4. I found that profiles were not saving or loading correctly. I looked around and found this “www.wowinterface.com/forums”. There I read “we may have to come to terms with this mod being abandoned. No updates or word from Maul in nearly a month, and the list of issues is almost 3 pages deep now.”
I found Bartender4 easy to use and set up. One big thing was the macros all had to be done in the wow macro UI and then put on the “buttons” took 20 mins and I was done.

Bartender4 solved all the problems I was having with Macaroon. Many of the same features are there (save the macros part) and its easy to learn.

Thanks a ton for the reply. I really feel sad about macaroon maybe being dead... i really had a soft spot for it... i am not totally sure why yet.

Can you please point me in the right direction of a guide for setting up bartender4? I will google it and go to the site and if it is all there then i am good... but often there are good guides and help sections elsewhere that i may not know how to find that this community may know where are.

I will probably be back with some bartender4 questions when i look it up.

Was the post about it being abandoned from just a subscriber or a mod or what?
