Great elemental shaman gear that can be aquired the moment someone hits 80?

So I've really been focusing on my DK tank and getting her geared up - hit 80 a few days ago and shes at 520 defense now. Mostly from rep that I already had + crafted items + boe blues + enchants. I haven't really paid any attention to the my shamans, who are now severely lagging behind in gear.

I want to start heroics soon as my DK will have 535 defense, but my shamans will only be around ~1050 at that point (without ToW or FlameTongue weapon).

So, question is, what are some great pieces I can pick up at 80 (BoE blues, crafted armor, etc)? I can't seem to find any crafted armor other than the stormhide set which really sucks for PvE. Alternatives would be nice. Preferably no rep gear - I intend to get some rep gear soon but my shamans are way behind on Rep and it would take forever to get a single piece at this point.

Any help would be appreciated. Also, don't worry about suggesting a weapon or shield as I intend to get the titansteel weapons and shields fairly soon - once I finish all quests in storm peak and ice crown I should be able to get a TS destroyer, 4 TS guardians, and 4 TS shields with my money :D

Please avoid spirit on Your shaman, those rings are terrible, ring from JC(of regeneration iirc) boe blue, will be way better, also I'm sure this is just a mistake on your part, but we cant equip swords.

I didn't really want instance drops as this defeats the purpose of "being able to get it the moment you hit 80" :) By that I meant, literally, DING 80 and you could be wearing the armor in 10 minutes (either from having someone craft it, getting the BoEs from the AH, etc) :)

If you have 10-20k gold to shell out, there are some very fine crafted PvE epics. If you only want to spend a few Ks, you can go for the Stormhide set. It's a pvp set, but it's still overall better DPS than even S4 gear - especially if you go for Lava Burst as a big part of your dps.

Instead of creating a new thread I figured I'd just use this one... today I finished questing in Storm Peaks and saved up ~7k gold from the zone. I bought the mats to make 4 titansteel guardians, headed to org, and found a blacksmith - he made me one at a time and when we got to the last one, I handed him the mats and he took off (~1300g in mats).

I know I'll get the mats back and he'll get suspended/banned for it but its annoying because i wanted to equip all 4 and now i have to wait who knows how many hours/days for a GM to respond to my ticket.

It will show what YOUR character is wearing for each slot. Then you look UP the list for items in Green (these are items worn by lots of other similar players). The list also shows you how the item is obtained (World Drop, Spell/Crafted, faction, etc). I find it real easy to find good upgrades using that.

Lots of blue and purple crafted gear I can buy now that I'm raking in money doing all the icecrown quests (and dailies). Just got titansteel guardians and I'm getting a Titansteel Destroyer tomorrow, then I have money to get at least 1 or 2 more crafted purples for each of my shamans before doing more questing. I figure by the time I set my first foot into a heroic I'll be defense capped and have ~1600+ spell damage per shaman :)

I got 1k SP on 4 shaman aswell, dinged 80 today. Got full Stormhide set, Furious feet and the others are mainly lvl 154-178 blue's besides my green 154 trinket.

And i've done 3 heroics, be it with a 40k hp pallytank, but it went smooth like butter, no problems at all.

(I loooooooooove the stormhide set's mana regen, 400+ mana regen while casting FTW, didn't took a single mana break)

So i would worry less about your gear, possibly getting a Titansteel Guardian or Dagger of Lunar Purity, (don't forget WG trinket) might be a great upgrade though.

Even if you don't manage with your DK tank try and do random HC's with just the 4 shams to get some emblems to buy a gear upgrade.
