hello guys

i'm new in dual boxing softwares , i manage to get Octopus works just fine with my chars and been playing around for while with the software , but i have 1 minor problem so far and would be awsome if you guys help me out with it

when i add key to Octopus , lets say "F" and key binded that key in one of my alts won't work unless i , 1 - SHIFT + that key OR 2- checked "pass all (keys) option from the main status window , i noticed when add keys in Octopus it's all auto added in CAPS and i think that why i have to SHIFT , anyway is there a walk around method to just get that key binded trigged without shift or check the pass all keys method ??

thanks in advance guys

Which version of Octopus are you using? I'm on 1.3.2 and I'm not experiencing the issue you've mentioned. On the front screen, I have "Broadcast: Keys" checked as keys won't pass to the clients without it. I don't see a "pass all (keys)" option.

In the Server tab of Octopus, the Keys list is generally used for indicating which keys you don't want to have passed to the clients unless you have "Whitelist" checked. My configuration is such that my arrow keys, numlock, windows key, etc are in the Keys list so that they don't pass. It might be that you have "F" in that list which means that lowercase f will not pass to the clients. I would take "F" out of that list and see if it works. Also it would be best to add the arrow keys, numlock, windows key and any other keys that you don't want to pass to the clients in that list. I don't use the "Whitelist" option because that means that only the keys in the list will be passed to the clients.
