Hi everyone,

i have readed a bit about both programs but sadly the latest posts in both topics "refered from the topic "The Sticky" which stands above"are from some time ago. so im wondering how good the programs are and if anyone can compair them?

My situation is as follows:
Im going to play 5 chars on 2 pcs. i almost have everything setup for it (hardware wise) i only lack 1 monitor which should arrive in the next couple off days.
I am using AHK for the playing on 1 pc, which works fine.

But for 2 pcs its either Synergy or multibox. and i would like to know which one is better.
Also in terms off compatibility as im using vista on my main pc and xp on the secondary pc.

So what to choose and why.
Thanks for your input.

What sort of functionality do you need out of Synergy or Multibox? Is it the mouse that you need broadcasted? I just run with with and extra mouse for the "alt" characters and I use keyclone for keyboard broadcasting.

I use both Synergy and Multibox.

Synergy has the mouse and keyboard control of any PC when I need it, and Multibox is a very simplistic form of key broadcasting. There is a ton of other options out there as well but I've used this method for a very long time and have no need to change.

ok i was maybe unclear in my original post.

i only need to broadcast keystrokes (i just a second mouse for when i need to control one off the other chars)

Also i want to use freeware for now.
(Autohotkey works great but can only be used on 1 pc).

I can run Autohotkey on both Pc's and then either multibox or synergy to send my keystrokes from 1 pc to the other. And AHK does the rest.

Hmm Ellay,
you say you use Synergy for both mouse and keyboard control.
And multibox for broadcasting keystrokes.

i think i misunderstand it, but to me it looks you send your keystrokes to all your clients twice.
