It's been pretty crazy in PvP this initial week of Arenas. For both Multiboxing and non, everyone is doing crazy damage.
If I can give everyone some glimmer of hope, even though isn't an amazing Win/Loss ratio. It is still progress, progress with 16.3k hp unbuffed and only 200 resilience. It will get better, trust me.

I could of went further, probably a bit higher. I was stomping every team I faced tonight , and they weren't just any teams every team was higher rating than me and were playing legitimate comps that were seen in previous seasons such as Euro Comp ( Mage/Rogue/Druid/Priest/Warlock), and Triple Melee. Every gear upgrade, you can Feel the power within us grow, because it hits all of your characters not just one.
It's time to adapt, new strategies and tactics. The potential is there, it always will be. I will show you all the light :)

Sounds promising. More so given that you can get solid gear before even setting foot into the arena. Of course, opponents can also get stronger as the gear saturates the game...but it sounds purty good.

Stormhide crafted pieces are a good stopgap. Not exactly great for elemental, but gives a PVP filler option while working on other sources.

Not trying to hijack your post, I just think how you do it so well, better than anyone, and doing it first is simply amazing.

Some interesting FYI. At the end of season 4, I was the 3rd highest multiboxer running a quadbox shaman team according to arenajunkies.com.

You were number 1. And some one else obviously perfected the copycat routine better than I because they were number 2.

I started leveling my team when WoTLK came out and tried out some of the new arenas and something became very clear to me. Things had changed, melee was strong, and what I had mastered in S3 was no longer scaling like it used to. Tank and spank only works when your healable. Rather than grind to 80, gear up, and wait in frustration while you figure things out...I decided to reroll.

So me and my 4 new accounts will use RAF to level a 5th. The famous question should I roll '2, 3, 4, or 5 Accounts?" The answer is 5. I learned this only after 3 didn't work and 4 got me glad Why 5? because 4 couldn't solo an instance in WoTLK like they could in BC. And new realms always bring me back to whats fun in WoW. Its the people and the progression. Unlike most I love the achievements system and cant wait to catch 1000 fish on each toon! (jk. :P )

The point here is I learned that my skill is not in inventing something new but rather perfecting what already exists and until Ellay releases a new "copy this and you'll win youtube.com movie" im only going to run up the L column. Playing in Arenas while I get pwned is not fun.

So Ellay, I admire your dedication, perseverance, and uber ability to box with the best. Take your time figuring it out too, my guys are only level 47 (yes 4 shaman again) and Id like to get a group of druids up too.

Thanks again for showing us your dirty little secrets, I can't wait to watch the next. I'll never look at a female Draenei the same. :love:

Ellay, you inspire us all! Currently one of my friends (Blood DK) and my 4 shammies have a 5v5. We did our 10 games to try to get the gear that takes honor/arena points to get us started. We would've done 10+ games, but our rating was already suffering thanks to my extreme lack of gear (barely 13k HP on my main, and 12.9k on my alts). So we figured it'd be best to take the arenas slowly at first since we get points based off our rating not how many games we play.

note: We did manage to win one game, where it was 4 people vs. us and we hid in the starting room in Lordareon. They sent a pally in, and I WTFpwnt him, then they followed stupidly. It was great :P

But back on topic! I recently respecced my 4th girl to resto so he and I could do heroics. We had been trying with my 4 girls elemental but I really felt that I needed the dedicated healing. So it will be interesting to try out arena's with 1 of em resto. I should be able to rock, well I hope anyways! lol It all depends on if I can learn to handle it. Because honestly, my girls are going down in less than 3 seconds right now thanks to melee :thumbdown: Oh well, just gotta keep truckin', I know we'll get there someday! And thanks again Ellay, just when I start feeling down in the dumps, you make a post to remind me how awesome boxers are :thumbsup:

Grats on your success. But when the number 1 boxer with a great healer who was the top team can only hit 1600 I am not inspired. You are 100% better than most all of us and were number 1 before. I think people need to understand elemental shamans are THE WORST PVP CLASS in wotlk. Let me say that again. THE WORST PVP CLASS. The current state of the game is fubar. If you want to pvp and have any fun you need to join the flavor of the month club. Multiboxers need to try other classes and see what could work. Shamans are dead in pvp right now. This doesnt mean you cant go to a bg and shoot everyone up in a big zerg fest. If anyone judges balance pvp for a class by being able to stand with 40 people and pew pew thats just not accurate.

You can say I am very bitter at this game. Sure I have a rogue, mages, pally, dk's & more. I really cannot stand that I have to play a fotm class to be good at pvp just because its the current over powered class. They ruined this game. I dont see how it could be fixed without a huge revamp. If they take all these classes dps away how are people going to raid? Shaman have become the (bc) feral druid of PVP. I guess we all have to wait and see what happens. Maybe things will change with you get 1000 res. I have almost 500 and get dropped instanly. What makes it even more stupid is I get dropped while being stunned or locked out of casting. For now elemental shamans have a big target on their backs saying sitting duck. FREE KILL!

Getting someone on the server to become a healer for a elemental team right now would be very hard. Everyone knows how bad elementals suck. What skill does it take to stunlock for 3 secs (time it takes to kill), bubble, or 2 shot anything that isn't a DK?

It's a gibfest. No strat, except don't zerg the DK.

I think it'd be great to hear from anyone running non-shammy multibox comps, there has GOT to be a few 3-5 mage, DK, hunter, etc teams. Or anyone tried 3s, how did that go?

Realize too that Blizzard takes a LONG, LONG, LONG time to make changes, especially such drastic balance issues. We aren't going to see patch 3.08 fix everything, I'm guessing ele shamans will still be pretty bad in 3.08. It'll take future patches for them to tone down Aoe Burst (since they have to rebalance PVE content probably) and make survivability higher for some classes. Its a great time to reroll and try different classes.

BL has a forberance even though its a 10 minute CD and Totem of Wrath can't stack even though its DEEP in the talent tree.

I know I'm probably stealing the thread when asking this but Ellay I have been a fan of yours for probably a year now, and focusing on working up the cash to do the same with 4 male orc shammies, but DAMN what else have they changed on shamans that redefines them?

Eh that's pretty much it, our heals are A LOT stronger since they converted spell damage and healing into 1 calling it Spell Power. We are basically a Resto Shaman now without some of the + healing talents.
We have on demand burst without needing NS anymore, so there are quite a few positives.

My only wish is i would of got into multiboxer before but considering i got into wow a year ago and got side tracked into the world of twinking a mage for a a few months ( thanks to a buddy with cash). Questing gets to become old really fast.

I would of loved to played mulitboxing shammies at lvl 70 and enjoyed the fun than tryign to pair up with less than compitent other players in areana

21-9 are great stats. I would say you can reach the gladiator- title again, no matter how bad shamans are atm. :).
What i heard blizzard is working on pvp, its too much burst out there.

Out of curiosity, how much are you using the Flame Shock + Lava burst combo? I haven't leveled my shamans yet so I don't know, but I also play a seperate elemental shaman for raiding. Been toying with the idea of mass purging a couple of targets, hit flame shocks on one target and then switching to another for LB's, then before Flame shocks run down lava bursting the focus target with the Dots on it. I'd figure most flame shock DOT would be healed through, but the Lava burst + a quick 5 Earth shocks would seem pretty good for dropping them, if they weren't hit with anything to stop it.

I've dropped my Shamans and rerolled alot of more toons. (2 Hunters, 3 Locks, 3 Rogues)

The hunters /rock but I hear alot of nerfs coming out.
The Locks I stopped @ 60 because man they suck now. :( Damn you blizz!
The Rogues I just started up for a 3's team.

I've played a Rogue for about 2 yrs prior to boxing and all through classic and into TBC. So I'll be a little rusty but should pickup the tricks again quickly. ;) I'm expecting around 1800's or so by pure spike domination.

I played Dual Rogues in 2's back in S1 and S2 and the issue me and my partner ran into was lack of sync. But being that I will be playing all 3 toons, setting up focus blinds / saps, etc... is just a push of a button. :)

But I'll let you all know how it goes.

As for the Shaman combo, Flame Shock - > Lava Burst is the staple ability, in 5's though matches run so fast that there isn't an opportunity to actually purge, everything has to be done very quickly. I hope games spread out more to actually involve some type of timeline of events instead of pew pew dead. It's coming from both angles, myself and the opponents :)

This is more of a confession than a post since its so embarassing. I've got a 5 mage team and my best result has been 1 kill (one person, not team). Only faced two different teams (albeit 10 times each) and am in spirit/int/sp grinding gear w/ a massive 10k hp and only 1k spell power but still... the fact that i can't kill people with arcane power + pom pyro followed by 5 arcane barrages.... part of the problem is its so hard to target a non pally non DK when everyone else is LOSing the shit out of you.

And so you know, mirror image is now a joke. A sole DK will kill all of them with a D&D before they get a frostbolt out. And even if they didnt a single mages mirror image with 1k spell power as I have measured it is about 250dps. even if they lived it wouldnt matter.

Ellay's accomplishment is very impressive so far. This really does feel like a melee dominated - not just melee but AOE melee dominated expansion which is going to make 4 or 5 boxing arenas very difficult.

Ive been playing my shamans for last 2,5 months now, got 3 to 80 and one is 70

In arena me with an 800 resil drood healer, and a warrior with 750 + resilliance, i just get pwnd so fast

I only have 300 resil , but i have 2K spellpower, 18K hp, tho I hardly ever down any enemys...

lvling the 4th one to 80 to get a bit more dmg in, but i doubt itl change anything,

And my teammates arent the prob cause ive been playing with them for over 8 years, and know em inside out...

I just feel like im letting em down, last week 0 - 10 ,

the recent patch was a nice boost tho, but when queuing last night i was waiting in 5v5 queu for 30 + minutes, than i gave up...

Some Aelli movie will cheer me up tho
