Honestly I have never seen such silliness on the forums. Well actually I have but this is the next phase of it.

I mean are the ads that big of a deal? People are writing novel long posts about how upset they are. Blizzard is trying to run a business. To me it's a non issue. :wacko:

Well, it doesn't effect me as I don't routinely browse the forums, but it still seemed ridiculous to me when I browsed to a forum post today to find a banner at the top advertising WotLK.

Blizzard released an expansion to World of Warcraft? Why was I not informed earlier? :P

But I also think it was IN VERY POOR taste for blizzard to push advertisements (which they obviously are going to make some kind of money off of) on their PAYING customers.qft

I'm all for Blizzard selling merchandise and stuff cause they're a company and they need to make money, but ads on the forums? :/

I think the massive QQ is a bit silly, yes.

Once again, Fur has hit the nail right on the head. On forums that need the ads to cover their expesnses, I have no problem there...

I'd rather see ads on the forums than have the subscription increased. You may or my not like the idea, but it doesn't really affect the usage of the forums. Now it would suck if they take you to an ad page before letting you get to the forums.
