Hello,

I never boxed a warlock and I'm starting to use one.

I have:

/use 13
/use 14
/petattack
/castsequence [target=focustarget] reset=target/5 Curse of the Elements, Immolate, Incinerate, Incinerate, Incinerate, Incinerate, Incinerate, Immolate, Incinerate, Incinerate, Incinerate, Incinerate, Incinerate, Immolate, Incinerate, Incinerate, Incinerate, Incinerate, Incinerate, Immolate, Incinerate, Incinerate, Incinerate, Incinerate, Incinerate

Thing is, this macro is not spammeable. Spamming it keeps interrupting the Imp's Firebolt

is anyone more experienced able to help me?

thanking you in advance.

Your castsequence is expiring and resetting in 5 seconds(or you switch targets) so every 5 seconds you are telling your pet to attack again. I would use a different button for your petattack and maybe up your reset value.

I would use a different button for your petattack and maybe up your reset value. It's resetting in n secs if I'm not mistaken if it's not being used. The target condition I'll leave but the 5, yes it can and will be changed (I used to have a different macro and left the time). But that is not the problem and I'm totally sure of it since the petaatck is not even inside the reset condition. It's just that it's not spammeable. Every time I press the key he starts casting it's firebolt.

Thing is also that if he's like halfway of casting he proceeds and isn't interrupted it's when he starts casting that he's always restarting when I spam it.

That macro tells the imp to start attacking every time you press the button, so if its in the middle of a cast it will re-start the cast. Try
/castsequence reset=target Fire Bolt, null in place of /petattack.

/petattack

Take this out.

Pets will automatically attack your target when you start attacking now. This became standard in 3.0.

If your pet is on defensive. Passive pets will just sit there. Kind of moot since pets should almost always be on Defensive anyway, but who knows with people?

Ok, good point. :)

I'm guessing the OP is a Destruction Warlock?Yes but pet is on defensive. I always have my Imp never use another.
I'm using the warlock on my second group feral/fire mage/elem shaman/holy priest/destr warlock

Well, realy I blame my tendency to overly complicate the simplest things. I've also been known to do /pettattack [nocombat] :whistling:

Hmm try this

/petattack [ channeling:Firebolt]

no idea if that would work

reset=5 will reset once yeh stop hitting the button for 5 seconds. Every time yeh hit the button it will reset the timer back to zero.

I keep a seperate button for my pet to attack. But only because I use the Fel Guard and do crazy things with his charge...

either /petattack [nocombat] or /petattack [mod] would help you here. otherwise, you're telling your pet to re-cast each time you press the button.

I'm using the Fel Hound due to its auto-silencing abilities. This may be a dumb question, but does it auto-silence in PvE? If so, I'm going to re-spec ASAP.

Yes, it'll slience cast mobs all on its own.

And you get a nice +int and + sprirt buff fro the whole group (which can be improved in the affliction tree). Its not as good as native mage and disc. priests buffs, but its better than nothing.

I know it'll auto-dispel magic buffs on enemy mobs, but I'm not sure if it'll auto debuff (eat) magic debuffs on friendly mobs - you might have to macro that part of it.Awesome, thanks for the info! I'm already thinking of my new tactics. :)

As far as controlling pets, my warlock was my raiding main in BC. I was demo spec. Two macro's in conjunction give you a ton of control over your pets. I had each bound to mouse clicks, the side thumb buttons which made them very easy to access quickly.

Primary:
/clearfocus [target=focus,dead]
/cast [pet:succubus,target=focus,harm]Seduction; [pet:succubus,target=mouseover]Seduction; [pet:voidwalker]Suffering; [pet:felhunter,target=mouseover]Spell Lock;[pet:felhunter]Spell Lock;[pet:felguard]Intercept

Secondary:
/focus [pet:succubus,harm]
/clearfocus [modifier:alt]
/cast [pet:felhunter,modifier:alt,target=player]Devour Magic;[pet:felhunter,target=mouseover]Devour Magic;[pet:felhunter]Devour Magic;[pet:voidwalker]Sacrifice;[pet:felguard]Cleave

Succubus would always seduce the focus, which had to be set prior to the primary working. Aside from that, they're all pretty self explanatory. A specific ability when that macro is clicked, possibly with ALT modifier key or target = mouseover.

Basically duplicating an addon (Servitude) which broke at one point and was not updated after that point.
