Gundrak (Heroic) Slad'ran

I tried the first Boss in Gundrak, but wiped now several times. My problem is, that i can't get the snakes under control with my Paly :( I tried to tank the Boss in the doorway on the other side of the room from the entrance, but snakes spawn in that room too. So i tried that my toons (DD/Healer) are standing at the stairways and my paly tanks the boss in the doorway, but that damn snakes (the bigger ones) are just ignoring my concentration and kill my healer. Even if i throw the shield on them i didn't get the aggro. I tried to fire concentration 3 seconds earlier, because i have the concentration glyph (thought, maybe a bug, that the higher cd will be displayed and the spell is shown, but not making damage), but no luck at all. Tanking the Boss in the middle of the room just gives me no chance to get the snakes under control, maybe i could try a earth elemental. My setup: Paly (Tank), Priest (Heal), Schaman (DD), Mage (DD), Warlock (DD).

Usually I just ignore the snakes, dps him down and worry about the snakes when he's dead. I stand on the room past him and have my dps/healer stand on the pile of bones after the entrance to the room (where the snake-trash paths) and have my paladin stand near the doorway. That way the adds have to travel a bit before reaching my group and by that time the boss is dead :-)

Edit: This will also get you the achievement (defeat him without getting wrapped)

How many DPS deals each of your DD? I have about 2k-2.5k per DD, which makes about 7k Group-DPS, maybe to low, because the first snake arrives at about 50-60% life of the Boss, but i can try that the healer starts to do some damage, too :)

Since 2 of my dps'ers are shaman, their dps is currently fairly pathetic, gear considered. I think I'm doing 2kish on the shaman and 2.5-2.6k on my moonkin, so you should be good with that setup.

I always die on this even when i down him, but my shamans were hybrid speced (dualwield) so i lac thunderstorm wich makes the fight harder.

I cant remember how much hp the snakes have but it shouldnt be more then 5-6k so some aoe should take care of them?

The little one have not much hp, but do a nasty debuff. The bigger ones have about 7k HP and you're right, i can try to burn them just down, when they came through the door, so they don't reach the healer :)
