EDIT: Okay I am just having problems with latency on my second computer, I think I should work this out on my own. Respond if you can think of any good reasons why Vista would have 2x the lag running WoW as a Mac on the same exact network. Could be as simple as replacing a ethernet cord maybe? hm.

In Leopard, I got ~50ms ping times. In Windows XP, I got ~150ms ping times. It made no sense why.

Then I hit Shattrath, I needed a stronger machine. Q6600+Vista x64:
Same ping times as Windows XP on my Macbook Pro. ~150ms. There is a registry modification you can make to lower the "displayed" ping on Vista. Look up "TcpAckFrequency" on Google, and you'll find it.

Overall Latency:
Mac w/Leopard: 50ms
Mac w/Windows XP: 150ms
Q6600 w/Windows Vista x64: 150ms
Q6600 w/Windows Vista x64 and registry "hack": 50ms

Whether it helps or not is a different story. Actual -vs- perceived latency are two different things. I can't say I did or didn't notice a difference. Regardless if it did anything other than change numbers, it sure as hell doesn't hurt.
