i've been looking around here for two days and still haven't found anything good that makes my toons ( 2x shammy ) to assist, melee and still follow main.

right now i'm doing 2 macros and a lot of screaming irl.

First :
/follow focus

Second:
/assist focus
/startattack

(i set focus when i login without macro since macro takes one more space in the action bar)

now here's the problem, i choose a target on main, press #2 walk up and position me so the alt can hit him too, we fight, mob dies, i loot and start to walk away, and alt just stands still
and i scream and get pissed off irl, been trying different things and nothing seems to work. any ideas ?
Also if anyone knows if you can make the alt turn towards the mob with a macro, that would be great!!

Your followers will break /follow every time they melee, if you add /follow focus on all your attack macros they will stay on follow as long as you spam it. just have to position your main so they are facing the right way and will keep up with your target

There is no macro to auto-face a mob. But you can use your Arrow keys to move them, like LEFT-ARROW will make them turn left, and RIGHT-ARROW key will make them turn right.

And yea, the command /startattack breaks follow so just add a line like this:
/assist focus
/startattack
/follow focus

About the screaming, try therapy.

You need to press the follow macro again before you move off, other than that you're doing ok

Change you second macro to:

/follow focus
/assist focus
/startattack

and use it in combat to turn your followers.

The technique is to run through the mob with your main and then spin round, this will pull your followers into melee range. When the mob moves reposition your main and press the 'assist' macro again to turn/move your followers. Here's my simple focus based guide:

Simple Focus-Based MultiBoxing Setup and Macros Guide ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&postID=151777')

and if you're getting stressed over multiboxing (or gaming) you should stop, it's not worth a heart attack, gaming and boxing are FUN, not WORK!

There is of course the add-on made by the infamous Jafula that you should look at.
Jamba has a feature for auto-follow after combat. As soon as your character leaves combat they will follow the person you designate.

Jamba addon has a subsection of commands called Jamba-Follow. You can configure Jamba within warcraft by pressing escape, selecting interface, going to the addons tab, and then selecting the component of Jamba you'd like to configure.

You can have Jamba warn you, via guildchat/specified channel/party chat/raid warning when follow breaks, you can configure a custom phrase; I use "Slow down, you're going too fast".

Jamba can be set to strobe auto follow every "x" seconds. It can be set to auto resume follow once combat ends. If you want to auto follow and not have to worry about it much, this is a great option. I used this for the longest time, but recently have had times where I'd prefer the alts remain where they're parked (example the temple event in ZF), rather then follow the main. Still its easy to toggle on one and then broadcast the settings to all of the others via a mouse click.

Hijacking thread in progress.

Infamous? As in "Having an exceedingly bad reputation; notorious."

Really? Sigh... :cursing: ;)

I think having an addon effectively press a key to do /follow without the user input might not be a good idea. Blizzard seems to like the idea, one keypress for one action and each action requires a keypress.

It can be set to auto resume follow once combat ends.
This seems safe since the addon just checks for you going out of combat and then does 1 action. In other words, it only does it once, not every so many seconds.

I am not Blizzard, just trying to make sure we don't mess up things that people use for boxing which affects more then the person that did the action. I love auto-out-of-combat follow.
