I was on windwox xp 64 bit and everything ran great however i was having some blue ray issues so I decided to try vista 64 bit.
When I am playing all 5 instances of WoW at the same time I get a drop in frame rate every 10 seconds or so. It drops so bad that I would say it goes down to 1 - 3 fps. This occurs for a short time and then it speeds up again just to slow down several seconds later.
Any ideas?

almost sounds like you have some sort of background process sucking up resources every so often. I would start with the task manager to see what else is going on.

I had similar problems with Vista 64. What I did was disable a few services:
- Superfetch
- Defrag
- Search Indexer
Now, I don't need any of these services, so it didn't impact me in any way. It may impact you (if you do a lot of searching on your hard drive, for example), so you may have to make a trade off.
Here's a resource I use when I want to figure out what a service does, and to help me decide whether I can turn it off or not:

Hope this helps!

I've also heard that disabling hyperthreading helps a lot (via BIOS settings.) If it is enabled anyways. I checked on my computer and it was already disable, which is weird cuz I know I didnt do it!

Just throwing this out there, as my new HD and Vist64 is sitting on my desk and not in my computer yet...
Have you assigned each of the wow windows to a different CPU core? I know you can do this in Keyclone, but I am really not sure how much of performance change this will be. Although, I would agree with the others that it sounds like something else is going on in the background during those times.

if you have a quad core, it makes a massive difference. by default, wow will try to use 2 cores and that is it. all 5 wows on just 2 of the cores while the other 2 are essentially idle.
spreading them evenly helps a lot.

another possibility that can help performance... if you are using maximizer and have a high res monitor (ie: 1680x1050), try setting the game resolution for each region to 840x525. hopefully, this will allow wow to render just 25% of the pixels and then do a 200% zoom to the main screen.. radically lowering the performance requirement for the box

I'm guessing you only have 4GB of ram?

It was Vista's visual experience. I dumbed it down and everything is fine.
Thanks for the help guys.
