To address low dps relative to other classes.

Hopefully this won't get buried here.

Here is what we are thinking about to try on the PTR for Elemental:

Elemental Oath -- In addition to existing effects, now increases spell damage done by the Shaman by 5/10% while Elemental Focus Clearcasting is active.

Elemental Mastery -- Overhauled. Now increases the Shaman’s critical strike chance by 20% for 30 seconds. Cooldown remains 3 minutes. We recognize this might be a slight nerf in certain PvP situations where players relied on the shaman to nuke an injured person to death. Still, I'm betting most shamans will prefer the new design.

Glyph of Lightning Bolt -- No longer affects cost. Now increases damage by 4%.

Elemental Oath looks pimp, EM eh.

edit: actually thats a super PvP nerf to EM, hello dispell removing its use past one spell.

How could people not love 3-5x shamans in a group with all of the changes there making.

wow they love fucking with us in PVP. I really don't care either way about EM but I do notice how they like to stick it to us.

Imo blizzard wants to stick it to all pvpers

EM changes might be a nerf in pvp but good god thats a mega buff for PvE.

bloodlust + EM = 30(40) seconds of massive haste and massive crit% - this will be awesome for boss fights IMO. And the elemental focus change will help during long fights a lot too.

The more I read about DK and shaman changes the more awesome DK + 4 shaman will be for PvE. At this point once 3.0.8 goes live I think DK + 4 shamans is the best possible 5 man combo you can have for heroics.

Increases magic dmg done on target by 13% for one. But that' all I know. I have been on holidays since I hit 80 with my 4 shammies a couple of weeks ago.

Right that 13% does help, with any changes bumping up shaman dmg, this makes that 13% even more powerful. The changes to DK, increase frost pres. from 60% to 80% will help. Its about 7-8% mitigation more. This was to off set the IBF nerf and BS Nerf. Which means less button mashing on the DK. Which to mean I like alot. Also the rune for 25 def +2%stam rune(which equals 125 defense points) is nice for not having to gems/chants for so much def to reach the cap allowing you for more dodge/parry/hp.

eh as is I barely use my fire elementals. I like my magma, searing and nova totems too much and I feel like if I bring them out its a waste when I need to change up to a different fire totem.

What makes Death Knights better than Paladins? (serious question)

I'm not going to say its 100% better than a paladin in general for boxing, but I'd say with 4 shamans it is. First, as above, 13% increase to magic damage having a DK. Second, especially with the new DK changes, they are making DKs even easier to multibox. More mitigation up front without using abilities (20% extra armor from frost presence PLUS 10% MORE reduced magic damage from frost presence), the ability to shield your entire team from AoE using anti magic bubble which I've used a few times. Multiple silences (not having to interrupt DPS to silence something), multiple snares (chains of ice and death grip), multiple oh shit buttons, and from what I can tell a lot more DPS than a prot paladin.

To me, that makes DK > Paladin for MB tanking (even if its not by a large margin), plus DKs are cooler ;)
