There's a thread running with awesome (and working perfectly! thanks!) information about MikScrollingBattleText to display the party damage/toon's name/spell name in the main's UI.
With this new debate about castsequence being a net loss of dps, it would be great if MikScrollingBattleText was also able to detect things like Flame Shock Up! Lava Burst Up! in the main's window (not a shaman).
I just feel that it does have that capability, since it displays it on the respective toon's window. I've looked and tried to follow the same reasoning used on the original post but wasn't able to do it since I'm too basic on this kind of thing :/
has anyone been able to do it or is willing to take a look at it please?
Most thankful and I'm sure it'll be usefull for more people than just me (I hope :p)

not sure about cooldowns, but i'm pretty sure it can announce procs, like omen of clarity or buffs that on occasion become available (it works for your character, why cant it work for your party too? hehe) i'll see if i cant get ahold of mik himself and see if he cant help us out =)

FYI I had been searching for something like this as well and I spent some time with DOTTIMER and it has a "Notification" mod component that can find ANYTHING in the combat log. It can notify you of buff gains, buff losses on yourself, your party, enemies ANYONE.
It is very customizable and you can configure it to output to any chat channel, your combat log, middle of the screen, raid warning etc.
Now my mage can finally use Hot Streak! WOOT! I have my tank setup to watch for my mage gaining the "Hot Streak" buff and it displays an alert on my tank's screen (he's my main).
WAY COOL!
EDIT: In fact it can notify you on ANYTHING in a chat channel, ie spammers, your friend psting you, a motd change, whatever you want!

I have been searching for a way as well and have found an addon called raid cooldowns and raid cooldowns display that seems to do the trick. by default it only tracks a few things such as shaman reincarnation but with a little work of editing the cooldowns lua file you can have it track anything. Im currently using it to track thing such as fire blast, frost shock, evocation, etc. All you need to do is install the raid cooldowns addon on all of your toons and then the display on just the main. seems to work great for me.
Here are the links to the two add ons.
Raid Cooldowns ('http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/raid-cooldowns.aspx')
Raid Cooldowns Display ('http://www.wowace.com/projects/raid-cooldowns_display/')
Hope that helps. If anyone finds anything better please let me know.
