Ok dont know if this has been posted since i couldnt find it. But all credit goes to rob"keyclone" for this. Im putting this in because ive seen lots of people asking about aoe pulls with no great answer. Ok with keyclone you have this nice little addition called pass map click hotkey. This is found under the general tab. I bound this to my f7 button seemed logical never use it for anything else and i wont accidently click it. Ok in short what this does is my f7 button acts as a pause button. Say on my boomkins i click f7 then click button 7 which is hurricane on all toons. Then i click the ground the mouse will auto jump screen to screen and click the ground ontop of you or whereever you clicked on your main and cause the hurricane to go. One problem is of one screen is bigger then the rest, this causes the mouse click to click a little off your mains screen. But if you have a tank just sit ontop of the tank and aoe everything. Just when your done with the pull dont forget to click the pause button. It seems like alot but after a cpl tries getting used to it, its like second nature.

Hmm, I'm having a bit of trouble making this work the way you've described. How do you map Keyclone settings to specific hotkeys? Do you use the keymap editor function?

No keymap editor i for went that more work then its worth to me atm. Just go to your general tab and look for the option pass mouse click hotkey. Click the box and push whatever button you want as the pause unpause button. Hit apply then ok. Once down load up wows. To test it mae sure all aoes have the macro /cast [target=focustarget]spell on same button. Sorry if it seems like im saying your dumb im not im trying to make this easy enough that even the noobiest of nobbs can go step by step. Ok now hit the button you distinquished as your on off switch which miine is f7. When you click this button next tap your button that corresponds with the aoe spell. When you do that on our main pick the spot where you want the aoe spell to hit click ground let go of mouse. If you are using maximiser you should be able to watch mouse jump from screen to screen and back to main. Once done hit off button again so you dont accidently do it wrong time and mouse jumps. This should work out everything as long as you dont move mouse after you click the spot where you want aoe to hit. Also good way to accept flights click main on guy it jumps and goes thru other screens. On this idea make sure you have the flight master or quest guy on right side.

Nice informative little write-up there, I was always too lazy to look into the mouse passing, but this has been easy. I note that the key used to trigger the hotkey is also passed to the clients, so why not make the primary AOE spell the mouse-click hotkey as well? This would save having to press the cast, then the hotkey.

So min otherwords what your saying using f7 as a reference. Do the /cast macro bind it to an action bar as f7 using that as the on off switch to. So when you want to do that you hit f7 and it clicks it on for all windows so all you do is hit f7 and click ground.

Awesome!
I just put it to a random key that i dont have sent to the wow windows, all it does is activate mouse click jumping. So, what I do, is activate GTAoE spell (blizzard let's say) then hit the key for mouse clicks, then click, and it clicks in all windows. Then I press the key again to turn it off.
I think the next step is to macro in camera angle movements, so I always send it to the same relative spot. Maybe make the toggle key also a /castsequence or round robin, so it first puts in first person view, then i cast my spell, then i turn off mouse clicks, and it puts it back in standard 3rd person view...

Wow thank you for sharing this. its not ideal that it focuses all the screens but its definitely workable.

I know the OP had good intentions with this thread and ultimately I would like to try this out myself...if I could truly understand what he was saying. I sincerely mean no offense and am not trying to offend you spyder.
Will someone who has utilized his method try to spell out what he was saying. I've tried reading it over and over and I just get a headache.
Thanks and again my apologies.

Here is what I did.
Open up your wow clients and keyclone and get them going. Lets pretend im running 2 druids. I am going to bind my hurricane ability to my 1 key for both druids.
Now, go to keyclone setup and go to the general section of setup.
In the middle of the window there is an option that says pass mouse click hotkey. It has a typical keyclone textbox to the right where you can click in the box and choose whatever key you want. This is the key youre going to press when you want to tell keyclone to get ready to pass your click. I set mine, for testing, to the quotation mark on my keyboard ( will likely change it when I use this feature more).
So, I have my pass mouse click hotkey bound to quote and my hurricane ability bound to 1 on both clients. Here is what I do now.
I press my 1 key. This opens up my hurricane targeting reticle on both druids right? Now, I click my quotation mark key. This tells keyclone you're about to pass a mouse click. Then I go to my main window and click like normal, as if i were targetting the spell. It will then go to each client you have open (i think it needs to be visible (i..e no minimized) but i have to double check this) and clicks the mouse on those clients as well, finally cycling back to your first window. So there is a bit of a delay where you will NOT have control of your computer (because its changing focus to each client and clicking).
Lastly, I click my quotation key again to go out of "pass mouse click" mode or whatever you want to call it.
Hope that explains how *I* got it to work at least.

I will try this this evening. Thank you for taking the time to explain how you did it. Again, Spyder...thank you for your original post.

Hey man dont worry about it i tried breaking it down as much as possible. It was late i was tired and i was like oh oh oh i need to put this up cause of seen so many mouse clicking issues. I was just posting it so people with keyclone could get a rise out of this and be like whoa thats awesome. So no worries i hope you enjoy the clicking mouse lol.

Im going to try this as well, but maybe someone can predict whether or not I will have a problem. I run my main screen in normal 3rd person view, and my 4 druids are in first person view on my second monitor using maximizer. When I click on the main screen, will it get messed up when it jumps over to the first person view screens on the second monitor?

Red, what version of Keyclone are you running? I noticed I have 1.8f, which doesn't seem to have the ability to set a "pass mouse click" on the same box. I tried to find 1.8h (the latest version?) but the Keyclone site is either down or gone. Suggestions?

Hah! It works! So far, I can only get the "click" to duplicate directly on top of the slave characters, but that'll do for now. Any chance this can be passed to a specific location on the screen?

Yea lol. One if your screens are all the same size and all your characters are facing same way. This also comes in handy for flight guys to oh yes.

Great post ss - tried this out tonight on my hybrid mix crew Lock & Hunter @ 63 and Mage & Shammie @62. (I four box) Left over from RAF and previous alts - trying to get to 75 so I can port my broader team to Dalaran & do also do the full tradeskills on these "bank/craft" toons. Now however - wow - the channeled AOE works like a dream. Run around on horsies to aggro a bunch of mobs - Gorilladin thunderstomps on dismount & then use your trick here to burn them down quickly...
This is fun... Will have to go try it on another set I am leveling - 3x hunters & a resto shammie. Should be just as wonderful.
Thanks for sharing. By the way took NO effort at all - just enter a key for the on/off (i use F9 - just a free one) and then stick all my various AOE on the same key in their action bar (i use 6) and it worked on first try... Makes a cute little sound going on & off... Enjoy

This has been on the forums before and if I'm not mistaken all the screens need to be the same size or roughly the same size. I run two screens with one of them having 4 clients; each being about the size of a 4x6 card. The other monitor runs my main at full screen, and I'm not sure I will be able to do this. But I'll try this anyway when I get home on Monday. Thanks for the write up!

its a little off for the main screen but if you click on one of the 4 the lil screens will be fine for flight paths. But for aoes its fine cause normally i pull them right on me then hit the aoe and all 5 boomkins drop the aoe same time think about it 750 times 5 a sec on multiple targets lol. So 6300 per hurricane per 9 secs times 5. So your basically going into an instance and just aoe as a boomkin. 30+ thousand in 9 secs its nutz plus with barkskin u can almost get 60 k maybe a lil more before barkskin is up. This is at lvl 70 cant imagine lvl 80 called aoe screw other spells hot ur guys and jump in lol.

In your hotkey for the AE spell, it may be reasonable to have it change the view to the 'looking down from above' view (I'd actually have to look this up to tell you the right command, but I know I've seen setview type commands) so that the clicks should all relatively be near each other within the game.. tis just a thought..
From WowWiki
SaveView(viewIndex) Saves a camera angle for later retrieval with SetView ('http://www.wowwiki.com/API_SetView').
SetView(viewIndex) Sets a camera perspective from one previously saved with SaveView ('http://www.wowwiki.com/API_SaveView').
so, get all of the characters with the same view then use
/script SaveView(5)
then when you need to switch just add
/script SetView(5)

for flight paths use jamba - don't take chances at clicking at the exact same spot
I wish I could use the mouse click to right click the flight master itself but most often than not it doesn't work for me so I got used to do 5 manual right click and let jamba handle it from there

Some interesting work on this stuff has been done in different directions by Falkor and some others.
Take a look at Djarid's info in this thread ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&postID=61846#post61846') about when you use setview if you do it twice in a row it snaps to the new view rather than gradual.
You could set a macro to snap to the new view instantly for you to start your cast, then toggle back.
Minimap ping is long dead, but some good camera adjustment info in this thread ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=4901&pageNo=4') too, but it's spread out through the thread.

my slaves always run with camera pointed directly down and this makes it easier for keyclone AOE. It's not like I look at their screen very often anyways.
hmm epic always wondered how that feature worked ;P
allthough there is no way to exclude one toon from it right? (tried today with my dk or warrior as lead in ramparts and to hurricane all with my druids, but got agro wayyy too fast and kept on dieing, so wanted to let 1 heal but, not really working due to all clients getting the click)
Can someone help me figure this out.
I am using a single pc to run 5 wow clients and my keyclone looks like this.

So from my understanding this only works with 5 computers? it seems strange if the mouse is only passed across machines, and not per client.
The commands for "clicking" inside of a window are almost identical to passing the message to the windows message queue that a user is "pressing" a button. I used to do this when writing scripts for diablo 2( used some IPC to work around d2jsp's detctable/bannable waypoint functionality). I admit I know only enough to be dangerous, as I only maintained it till after the the XP SP2 changes.
I knew it wasn't gonna work on one pc. I got it to semi work. If i put all the clients on top of each other, then when i press 8 to select Death and Decay and click on a location, the other 4 will lay theirs too, but kinda randomly and at a spread. ANother problem was I couldn't turn that off, so everyhing I did was trying to be forced to the other clients.

@Fira
please update your version to v1.8k (check my sig)
there is a toggle hotkey you can define under keyclone/setup/general

Just to clarify i am running 1 pc with 5 wow clients.
I dont think you can exclude clients from this feature, though that would be nice (speed things up).
Does keyclone have a suggestions forum? Lol.

Just one question that bothers me...
Is it legal? Some GM blue posts listed here:
http://dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/GM_Conversations#Mouse_Movements
states firmly and in bold that:
I would strongly advise shying away from this program, if it is
causing mouse moves (even simulated mouse moves) to occur in response
to user inputs.
Mouse moves are the purview of the user, not a program.
So can I be sure that by transmitting mouse mkovements via any kind of software or hardware broadcasters i do not break EULA or TOS?

Ivan, someone can correct me if im wrong here, but i dont think theres a problem because youre not moving the mouse on the other screens. Just like 1 key press -> 5 character actions, 1 mouse click = 5 character actions... Some people are really good at digging deep into the semantics of the situation but thats how it seems to me at least.

the problem that was being batted around was a key being tied to a mouse click. at which point, you would not need the mouse, just hit a key.
blizzard didn't like the auto positioning, as that could give you an advantage (no delay in targeting the right spot). once you spend the time to target the spot, the fact that all your wows click the same spot would be the same if you were one or 5 people. no difference.
in either case, there is no automation, just convenience.
also, you cannot do a click-n-drag, only a click. and the user must start the operation... it will not be triggered via a key or macro

Awesome thread. Thanks to all who have posted. I can't begin to tell you how well this has improved my gaming experience.
Anyone with AoE capable team members should give this a shot.
