Someone was talking about some item to buy something to increase exp 10 percent that drops in wintergrasp.

Do I have lots of pvp to look forward to in Wintergrasp or is it dead?

The best I can say (I haven't gotten too far in Northrend yet), is that there is a lot of talk in /trade about it. People seem excited about it as a zone. I expect it to be hoppin'!

When your faction controls Wintergrasp your side gets 5% xp boost in Northrend (and Northrend only, including instances).

However, imo Wintergrasp is extremely multiboxer unfriendly. If your side has more people than the other, they get a buff called tenacity, which scales with how "unequal" the sides are. The other day a ret pally came and did 18k dmg each to my 3 shammies, in one single hit (the whirlwind thing, divine storm I believe), due to him having a x10 or something Tenacity buff.

Also vehicle combat is really the name of the game -- one side is trying to smash in the keep walls, the other is using turrets to blow the vehicles up (and defending vehicles too). if you try to DPS a vehicle on foot you are pretty much going to die quickly -- it does ridiculous amounts of damage, like up to 40k per hit. You can "ride" vehicles, and I've done that (my main drives, 2-3 others "ride") but they don't really do anything and its kind of a waste.

My personal feeling at this point is that multiboxers in Lake Wintergrasp are really a detriment, and I try to avoid taking them in unless its off-peak and I just want to farm some mining nodes or some basic honor. At least in places like WSG/AB/AV and maybe even Strands you can turn the tide and help out, but its really hard to come up with a lot of scenarios in Lake Wintergrasp where multiboxers don't contribute to losing -- maybe at the end when the game is going to end soon and its a frantic battle at the keep doors, then its a lot of hand-to-hand combat and multiboxers are great, but pretty much everything up to that point is played more like a FPS/Battlefield/Halo/etc.

Tenacity sucks hell.
Trying to drive vehicles sucks hell.
Having your entire team owned by a vehicle sucks hell.
YOUR PLAYING IN HELL.

Wintergrasp is the anti-multibox pvp zone... along with strand of the ancients. But, i heard Archavon is easy to kill so once every 4 days (blizzard is changing days soon) you get to fight him for epics if your faction controlls wintergrasp.

Hmm. Does Wintergrasp count all levels of characters towards the Tenacity buff?

:)

Tenacity is given to the faction that has less players in Wintergrasp. Level doesn't have anything to do with it i'm pretty sure.

I try to think of it like this: it's not a multiboxer hell, you just have to bring only one at a time to be effective. All multiboxers have that ability. Yeah, I know what you guys mean. I'm just seeing a lot of frustration from people trying to box EVERYTHING, and there's no need to do that.

Wintergrasp is alot of fun IMO, i've gone to it almost everytime it's active whenever i'm online. Odds are usually pretty even on my server so I rarely have any tenacity, but when we get outnumbered significantly big tanacity buff is pure win. The daily quests there are great honor as well...usually you can make around 8k honor in a 30 minute game. Offense I just do suicide runs to take out turrets until we break through, Defense I just run around blowing up vehicles...defense is definitely easier to play as a boxing team but both roles are certainly doable. I've never stepped foot in a wintergrasp vehicle though fwiw

Don't box wintergrasp if the enemy has tenacity, it'll only make them even more powerful.

However, if your side has tenacity (especially high stacks of it), boxing teams will steamroll the enemy (Including vehicles) in short order.

My prot warrior (My main in my guild) was one shotting almost any cloth wearer with 7 stacks of tenacity. We still lost because idiots wouldn't get the hint that they needed to defend the orb and someone managed to get a full click off.

I love it. Huge amounts of honor, some tokens you have (so far) no use for, great dailies and a lot of fun :).

Who cares about their tenacity? They have les hp than an heroic boss ^^ Biggest I saw was a feral druid on 114k hp. It was awesome fight :) since he had everything upped by 500%.

And when you're not fighting there's loads of titanium ^^. Great Zone imo.

Well I picked a server where my side (horde) is the underdog so hopefully we will get the tenacity.

I don't think wintergrasp is open to level 20 though

I'm agree 100% with this. There is just some things that are easier/more fun to single box and round-robin your toons (like some of the vehicle quests or PvP'ing). Another great thing about multi-boxing; you don't give up ANYTHING in the single play world by having multiple accounts.

Oh yeah, and if you're a female tauren, and your faction is on defense, do not take the portal. The tauren hit box issue is back at it again, this time it does not let you exit the room that the port sends you to. GG

Dunno what you fellas are trying to do in wintergrasp but I find it mad fun toasting vehicles. You should ride along with your faction vehicles whether it be offense or defense and defend them against other players. When you see a loan vehicle that doesn't have player support nuke it.

You get taken out rez and get back in the fight. As long as you are not afking the extra few toons in the zone are not going to cause a tenacity stack that you don't compensate for by being a coordinated unit.
