I'd like to hear other stories out there of dual and multiboxers in Arena's. Your Pro's and Con's, and how well you are doing.

Thanks :)

To note I went up against a 4 Shadow Priest 1 Healer team this weekend. They were all played individually but it gave exciting possibilities for that class to be amazingly fun in the Arenas. They were at a 2k rating, sadly my Shaman overpowered them but they put up a good fight.

I still try to find the best class^^ i have no 3x shamans on lvl 15 but i don't really like shamans.

So now i start 3Locks and 1 shadow priest, and with 70 i take a heal shaman with me to arena.
I just have to dot everyone and then run around

You still Alliance? Or have you moved on to Mag?

I'm leveling up 3 locks to try out 3v3 arena. They're at 51 now, so not much longer. I'm loving these leveling changes. And I can pretty much start off with the season 1 arena gear. I'm still not sure what spec or strat to go with, but I shall be sure to keep people up to date.

I dont think hes doing that badly - people will be adjusting to his playstyle remember though - they know hes a serious threat.

What in paticular hurt you so badly with the Shadowpriests?

Since I play 4 Shadow Priests and a Paladin I am curious.

Once you get to a certain bracket you're going to be fighting a much smaller ammount of teams, and by now they'll all know who/what Ellay is, therefore tactics to counter him can be made. Doesn't mean they'll do badly, just not as well as with the element of surprise :)

Hmm, where did you hear I wasn't doing good? :) If the season would end right now I would obtain Gladiator titles and get that nifty 310% speed armored nether drake mount.

My highest ranked team is 39th out of 5000 total teams in the bracket
For all 5v5 Teams on my server (Smolderthorn), I have the 8th place, 11th place, and 14th placed team.

Top team:

next is
http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/team-info.xml?r=Smolderthorn&ts=5&t=Tada&select=Tada&fl=1
I also have some other teams I help out guildies and friends on
http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/team-info.xml?r=Smolderthorn&ts=5&t=Tryouts&select=Tryouts&fl=1

I have more teams on the way with other players, I just love playing 5's. I have beaten almost all the teams in the Top 10 on the entire bracket including #1 (several times) and #2.

Overall I am more powerful in season 3 than in season 2 because my gear is more fleshed out and more experienced. I only started up in Arenas half way through Season 2.

Right now the ratings aren't saturated enough yet like they were last season, they will be though in about a month - if I had to guess my 1919 rating is equivalent to a 2250 to 2300 rating from last season. So I'd say I'm doing awesome :)

To answer some of the questions more specifically:

Actually I never lost to the 4 Shadow Priest team in the 3 times I faced them, I just thought it was an awesome setup.

They have a very high amount of burst potential with a Mind Blast / SW:D combo, and then to finish it off with a Mind Flay which negates LoS if they try to run away.
This same strat is also able to be reproduced to another target within a small time frame making it a nice bread and butter combo.

The big drawback with them though is they unloaded everything on me and ran oom each game without killing a target.

They would have been better of dotting all 5 of you using LoS and then doing that combo. :/

Each taking a Shaman each and opening with Silence.

That would be my way of approaching you, but your guaranteed insta-gib move is scary and hard to deal with now you have the +dmg gear. :/

I thought this way in the beginning, but if they are adapting to my playstyle I can too. With that I am able to counter a counter pushing the pressure back onto them. Arena's are a constantly evolving game style which makes it so much fun.

The biggest counter is Line of Sight and I have a solution to that on every map which catches every team off guard :)

I am thinking to do arena with shaman team in near future. Maybe you could do a small multibox shaman guide for arena for all those who go after you? :)

I just started doing arena. I posted a quickly slapped together vid though! XD

http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums2/viewtopic.php?t=2736

So far I'm just getting the hang of positioning and basic arena strategies. I'm having to unlearn everything I thought I knew about arenas. Even in my video, there are quite a few mistakes I could point out. I'm interested in what everyone else's thoughts are.

I can definitely put a guide together, I don't even mind if my opponents know my playbook. It's all about execution anyways.

Good movie Remote, I'm glad others are dabbling in the Arena's.
