I was in honor hold on my 71 team pally priest mages, saw a horde come in, killed him quickly, figured meh, just a 70 or less, but he was an 80... I was like, he died that fast?

But yeah, 5x bubble hearth. Epic.

I've actually been having quite a lot of issues with level 80s, even at level 73. I partially attribute this to me running a DK and 4 shamans now instead of 5 shamans, and so I'm not used to PvPing with a non shaman. I think in the end I'll be almost as strong in PvP as I was with 5 shamans, but for right now I'm having issues.

Generally what I've found is, if the 80 gets the jump on me he can usually wipe my entire team :\. Of course if I get the jump its easy to kill because I can do 15-20k damage before he even knows im attacking him, now that my shamans all have >1000 spell power and higher level spells. I can't wait to gank people with lava burst :D

Anyway, this is a totally different experience for me then being level 61 and killing 70s easily :( Hopefully its just my tactics that need adjusting. I need to use my DK more offensively, like stop /follow on my shamans, run my DK forward a bunch and death grip someone off my shamans and into my DK, then chains of ice. Then its basically a 1v1 with my DK tank against the other person (no way they're going to drop me before my 4 shamans nuke them to hell and back LOL).

Anyway, I guess it depends on the 80 you run into but with new abilities and insane weapons/armor/hp/etc, its really tough to take down an 80 at level 60-74.

I reached level 75 and got lava burst and just welcome any level 80 (cept for a pally) to attack me. I was on a mine in NR yesterday and an 80 warrior thought he would try to steal it from my 5 shammies. Thunderstorm X 5 X 2 real fast (he went flying at least 30 yards or more) then flame shock and lava burst and dead level 80. A warrior might normally take out 1 or 2 of my toons while a pally at high level will usually wipe my group (that goddamned bubble). If I see a pally coming I can ghost wolf and run a bit for his bubble to expire then pwn him but that doesn't happen often.

I don't know if I could replace one of my shammies with anything else for pvp.

I'm at level 50 and i have trouble with 80s... if they see more than 1 character doing the same actions, they attack... it sucks

I can understand facing a 80 in a 4-5box team when your atleast 72+, but if you come across one of those war/pallies or anyone that has heros set, consider yourself done, 32khp pally goodnight.

I have done little pvp with multi boxing so far, Just situational stuff like in Nagrand so my statement is going to be based upon the hours of videos ive seen as all my pvp success has been "Oh look hes flagged, oh look my 5x I win button". PVP comes down to this one simple constant. The Quick and The Dead. Other than for just doing it, if I were to make a pvp team it would be 5x of some caster type. 1x 4x groups to me just says kill the one thats not the same and chances are the hydra dies.

I would think 5x mages would be pure win. Instant kill one person prolly 2 in the first 5 seconds of combat so it will never be 5 on 5. Pop 5x mirror image and watch 25 mages vs 3.

Before when I had 5 shamans, rogues and other deviants would still figure out my "front" shaman was the leader and always attack him first. Lots of times I could kill the rogue or whatnot before my leader went down but not always.

Now, with a full tank spec +def +dodge +parry massive HP massive armor monster that is heavily resistant to magic, lets just say my main is the LAST one to go down now :)

FTL setup is your answer. Before I switched to a leaderless setup I hated that. Until they killed my main I couldn't do a single thing (worst is having a priest as your main because when he dies he stays there to heal and your alts stay focused on him like he was alive). Now that I have changed to the new setup I can choose any one of my toons to be the main at any time.
