I watched the video from Fuzzyboy but I cannot seem to kill the first boss.

It seems I am either not in range for my healer to keep me up or if I am then someone gets the ice block and dies too fast.

Is there a macro I can use that will target ice block and if ice block is not there then target the boss? I believe my tank and dps is up to par for the boss, but I cannot bring her down??

Do your DPSers just target whomever your tank is targeting for DPS? If so, just have your tank target the ice blocked person -- its not important that the tank isn't in range or isn't swinging away at the boss for a few seconds. I just would target the ice block'd person with my tank (usually the tank) and the DPSers would automatically start DPSIng on it after a few seconds (remember target switching has some lag).

Just do this in your macro

/assist party1
/target frozen tomb
/cast spell

What this does is assists your party leader like normal but if frozen tomb exists it will switch to that target and cast your spells at the tomb. If frozen tomb does not exists it will just assist your party leader.

NOTE: It MUST be in that order. If you have target frozen tomb ahead of your assist it will end up choosing the later and just assist your party1 like normal. You can of course switch out party1 with focus or w/e you use for your dpser's.

Its 2 key things that i have been using as 5x dps. Done it in the same way as 4+tank.

1: Have a /castrandom grounding totem, lightening bolt type of macro that will take most of the dmg from the boss away from your team. This is a macro that i would say all shammy teams should have for maximizing the use of groundings.

2: I start on max range. And i will pop out some fire elementals there. ¨

= Basicly what will happen is that the fire elementals will be out of range to attack the boss but they will kill the frost thingi directly and all inc adds coming. And you can basicly just nuke here down, throughing some heals now and then to tip off. Some runs it have happen that the elementals move forward as the boss comes in range at a point. She is like randomly moving around so its hard to say... Sometimes they will change to the adds if so, but if not just pop some TS. But with the right dps going she should be down before this will give any trubble. GL :D

I use the /target frozen tomb
But what I do is park my guys in the hallway real close to the doorway in a semi circle that way they can all attack the frozen tomb
there all fairly close together. Then I pull with the pali run back and los em that way he comes running into the door way.
Since everyones close I just let consecrate and Holy Wrath take care of the adds.
If the guy decides to move around I can los em to get em back to where everyone can attack

His shadow bolts are not affected by grounding totems, so they will do absolutely nothing. Stay bunched up. In heroic, I pull him to outside the doorway to LOS him and get him up close. I'm posting a video later today if you want to see for yourself. Just get close enough so that your consecration covers your slaves, that way they wont get skeleton aggro.

As for the tomb, its a matter of preference. I got the achievement (killing him without shattering any tombs) first time I did heroic and I didn't even try to - I just ignored the tombs and healed, so both versions can work fine. I think the key is to get him close and keep a close eye on the healing.

I stay bunched up as well. It makes it much easier to burn the tombs down faster and get the adds off of your team quickly when they spawn.

I bunched them all up against a wall and use magma totemsx4 whenever I see skeletons or the Ice Tomb. I tank the boss next to my shaman so that my consecrate will grab skeletons. My guys rarely take damage if I am paying attention. However, because I use magma totems I have to pop mana pots towards end so I can finish off the boss. I use to die to this guy all the time, but with the above strat I can just focus on boss and dps him down and I rarely die now.

Easiest way I took care of this boss is to run my DK right up to the boss from the left side (so the adds have to run through the boss to hit your guys) and make sure my shamans follow right up behind my DK at standard follow distance - just leave them on follow.

Then, use a castrandom or something that rotates between LB and CL. Drop all your fire elementals. Between CL hitting the boss and reflecting to adds/frost tombs and the fire elementals none of your guys will stay in tombs for more than a couple seconds and the adds will be dropped super fast. Makes it cake.

Oh man, this is a great idea! I have been getting my butt kicked trying to kill that boss and didn't want to go through the pain of setting up an FTL keyclone hostring X 5 for targetting the frost thingies. Going to try this out this afternoon.

elementals is a great idea, however with new magma changes there really is no need to use them. Just drop magma totems and everyone hug tank, will maximize dps and take care of tombs.

This worked great! Dropped two rocks close to the boss and 3 fire eles towards the back. Also helped on the adds..thunderstorm took them down to low health then the fire eles finished them and was back ready to hit next frost tomb.

Finally, at 73/74 I downed him last night. The reward was such an upgrade that I immediately left the instance to go turn in.

What I had been trying was to stop my shammies back and drop all my totems before I aggroed, even tho that didn't work half the time, he'd aggro anyways and I'd be starting a fight I wasn't ready for. Instead, I ran all right up to him and started tanking as I dropped my totems (took some creative finger work since my totems are on my G keys on my G15 keyboard, and my tanking macro is the ` key, and heals are F1 :p )

First adds/tomb I dropped 4 fire novas, second adds/tomb I thunderstormed, and followed that pattern, healing and chain lightning when I could.

After the first fire novas went off, I dropped 4x fire eles. After that it was cake, with the fire eles taking the adds and tombs.

This is exactly what I do to pull the adds b4 the boss and the boss itself. I los them to the hallway where my team is in a semi circle so they can all dps each other.

Fighting in the open is far to hard to control adds and keep the boss in range/in front.

I use a seperate big dps/tanking macro when frost tomb is up

/target frost tomb
/cast spell

and I beat the boss and the 4 mob pull b4 her every time. I also zoom each window on my toon so I can see when the frost tomb has been dpsed off.
