Does anyone know if keyclone can send the left Control, Alt, or Shift keys or the RIght Control, Alt, or Shift keys?
Since a macro can be specified with lalt, ralt, lctrl, rctrl etc. it would be nice for my priest healer slave to have 7 spells bound to the same keybind based on the modifier.
the way it works now is it doesn't recognize left or right, just the generic version of the key, so I lose out on 3 possible keybinds

It is broken. Rob (keyclone) has never responded to anyone on this issue (not that I know of). This is about the 4th or 5th post on this subject. I've emailed and PM'd him. Nothing.
Lalt and rctrl are always sent regardless of what you want to be sent.
This is why I am now using Innerspace:Repeater from lavishsoft.com - not as easy to setup - but there is realtime help via their IRC ('http://embed.mibbit.com/?server=irc.lavishsoft.com&channel=%23isboxer&settings=c76462e5055bace06e32d325963b39f2').

left and right modifiers are recognized by keymaps.
check to see if you have any keys bound to the modified key
ie: shift+9 == ( which will shift my action bars unless i unbind the key
try setting only pass the hotstrings and see if that helps.

I will check out my modifiers and get back to you all, thanks for the responses!

left and right modifiers are recognized by keymaps.
I've posted on this before in this thread ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&postID=142181') and others. The simple test in the linked thread will prove (I believe) that the left and right modfiers are NOT being sent. They may be recognized for invoking a hotstring(keymap) but they are not being sent as requested.
So the answer is still NO, keyclone is not able to differentiate left alt from right alt for slaves?
Edit: typo

yes, the left and right modifiers will trigger hotstrings, as stated.
are you expecting to associate LSHIFT+9 to an action bar slot in wow?
how would wow distinguish between left and right? i see no ability for that in the key bindings section

in wow - you can test for it in the macros. In warhammer, I've been told, they only check specifically for left and right.
If you look at the post I linked above and actually try what I have written there - you will become aware of the problem.
You use the specific left and right alt/ctrl in your macros. Left and right shift works, ctrl and alt do not.

So I tried it and Shift works, but CTRL and ALT do not work when i specify left or right. you can see it if you create a macro where the modifiers are set to lalt, ralt and set the icon to question mark (so it shows what spell it "should" be casting. so for example if I set 'lalt' to cast fireball and 'ralt' to cast frostbolt, when I hold the left alt key, the picture of fireball should show up (and cast if i hit the button) and if i hold the right alt key, the frostbolt should show up(and cast if i hit the button).

In case anyone's interested, HotkeyNet also allows you to control whether left or right keys are sent.

Freddie - I had trouble using HKN with Kavoom. IIRC I was getting double characters when I moused to another machine. with keyclone I had to restart kavoom after keyclone was running - not a big deal really. I never did figure out how to make HKN work with kavoom, only tried tried starting them in different orders though.
I think HKN would be great though if I had multiple instances on one machine.

Thanks for the kind words. Recently I've been using HotkeyNet and Kavoom together myself without any problem. And (as I think you know) one of HotkeyNet's oldest beta testers has been using both programs simultaneously for a long time. I don't know why you had the problem. I'm sorry we weren't able to solve it.

Freddie, HKN + kavoom worked from my main.
When I decide to do a collection quest (and other circumstances) I will mouse over to the other computer and use that character as the new lead. When doing this the other machines receive two keys. Have you tested it like this? Actually playing from your non-main? and did you do anything to make it work this way?
I guess I need to pull it back out and see whats going on.

Harem, when I wrote that yesterday I completely forgot that we had discussed this problem at length a few months ago. I just skimmed our old PMs to refresh my memory. Then, to make up for my forgetfulness, I decided to try to add some sort of feature to HotkeyNet to detect when Kavoom moves the mouse cursor to a remote PC.
So I just fired up the debugger and Kavoom. But before I began to look at technical things very closely I simply started Kavoom and HotkeyNet in diferent orders to see if it made a difference. To my surprise I noticed that when Kavoom is started second (after HotkeyNet), HotkeyNet doesn't see the mouse clicks and doesn't execute any hotkeys. Doesn't this solve the problem?
I was surprised because (if memory serves) we talked about this at the time and you said the order didn't make a difference. But it's making a difference on my computers now.
I tested with XP (which I think you said you were using), HotkeyNet build 153, and Kavoom 3.27.
