Hi everyone,

My video card (8800 GTS) has dual DVI ports which allows me to easily use a dual monitor set up which I love but if I wanted to use say three or four monitors how can I do that? Would I have to get another 8800 GTS and run SLI (with a total of 4 ports) or is there some software that can be used in conjuction with hardware?

Thanks,

-Clovis

I believe it is as simple as getting another, preferably identical, videocard. But without running them in SLI.

I've no personal experience with this but I've read on the forum it can decrease performance however. And PiP doesn't like it either I believe.

I'm currently using 2 monitors, but i do believe it's as simple as just buying another identical graphics card and plugging in 2 more.

I've also heard this. Not on these forums though.

This depends a lot on your OS and how you start the game. If you start WoW using that video card it should run fine, if you start wow using the OTHER video card and drag it over, then it goes into software rendering.

Depends on the OS. I can't speak for vista, but with windows xp. I have a video card with two ports. I have two 22 inch pluged into them and I use set them to vertical span in nvidia settings. This basically extends your desktop to both screens, without lag and all. It makes it one huge monitor and as long as you use some sort of maximizer ie innerspaces/keyclone etc. You can set each instance of wow or whatnot to fit the screen in any way you want.

For example i have one wow normally full screen on one screen and then i have the other 4 I run split up on the 2nd.

Just make sure you dont SLI them, because SLI is made to run one screen with multiple video cards, not the other way around.
