Ok so my question is where? I heard Scholzar Basin quest?

Also do you need to have bought either 60% or 280% flying skill from TBC (I assume one of them) to be able to fly in Northrend?

You have two places.

In Scholozar Bazin in the middle of the map, the town on a little platform. Or in Dalaran next to the flightmaster.

You can train cold weather, 60% and 280% speed at both trainers.

You can get it done at several locations, the flight Path in Dalaran, K3, and in the Basin.

Were there mount vendors in Northrend however? I went back to Shadowmoon valley to buy the 280% mounts for one of my team members (I had forgotten to, lol), so you may still need a trip back to buy the acount mount.

you can buy a snowy gyphon in dalaran if you want to drop the 1900g for it. otherwise, take a portal and 10 min of your time and run back to outlands for it. its not that bad.

Doesn't it still cost 1900g even if you go back to Outlands? So what is the difference?

1900g for just the snowy epic gryphon because it's a collectable.

200g for standard gryphons/windriders.

The training is the expensive part. The physical mount (or I guess the spell) is usually 100g-200g for flyers (epic & normal)

So I would just like to point out how fantastic epic flyers x 5 is..... I swear my questing xp rate almost doubled. Being able to cross the zone in one minute without losing follow due to obstacles on the ground is AWESOME. You forget how good it is until you have to grind 70-77 in northrend. I am not looking forward to this for my second group, ugh.

ok but my question is this.

I never bought Outlands Flying mount at all. I only have training up to Epic Land Mount. Do I have to get the training from Outland first and then from Northrend which would cost me 2000g?

They already answered your question. You can buy the TRAINING from any of the three Northrend folks they mentioned (including Normal flying, Epic flying, and "Cold Weather" northrend flying). Normal and epic flying TRAINING is the same in Northrend as it is in Outlands.

So, to directly answer the question "Do I have to get the training from Outlands first?" No. You can buy the same training in Northrend.

HOWEVER, you need something to fly ON (like a gryphon or windrider) -- that can be purchased expensively via the "Special Mount" vendor in Dalaran, or you can go back to Outlands and buy the cheaper Outlands mounts. You do not need to purchase a flying mount if, for example, you have a mount like the Headless Horseman's (both riding/flying) already.

Thank you Vyndree. I noticed when I went to the vendor I would have to drop 1800g just for the training, so that kind of sucks. I'd rather spend my money on my tank and gearing him first before anything.
