I have been stuck here in Iraq for some time now, and finally found a way to surf this website. Thats both good and bad, now I can read all about boxing again :), however now I can read about boxing again :(.
Anywho, I'm all pumped up about getting home and getting back to playing. I got my shaman team to about 30's before I had to go.

I am going to go purchase 4 new accounts so I can RAF them Main->2->3->4->5, along with building a 3 screen computer.
My current debate is about classes. Not being able to actually play the game means all I can do is dream and plan.
I would like to be able to clear Heroics as well as be competant in PvP. No amount of micro scares me, I would much rather be able to adapt and overcome any situation than to be on Two-Button mode for 90% of the situations. So with that in mind, what would be the most effective class combo for multi-role?

1x TankKnight / 4x EShaman
1x TankKnight / 1x RShaman / 3x Casters (lock or mage)
1x TankKnight / 1x Priest / 3x Casters (lock or mage)
5x Shamans (Are heroics even doable without a tank?)

Everyone is going to have their favorite group make ups.

Im still debating mine..and try new teams all the time.

My group works pretty well together (shaman is healer, and priest is shadow spec).
And I have very little down time.

Be safe over there!

4xShamans is still a nice backbone for both PvE and PvP activity.

Paladin tanks used to be the preferred tank for a shaman team, for a variety of reasons. Many of those differences have become less severe (e.g. AoE tanking ability), but Paladins still reign supreme for simplicity. (You can easily put together a "1-button" tanking setup for them.) Their buffs are very nice as well.

Death Knight is also a fun option, from what I hear, but it's definitely more of a micromanagement effort.

For how you've stated your goals... I'd do 4xShamans plus any tank, but be aware that Paladin is probably the "easiest". (Great wipe recovery ability on them as well-- can rez, plus have DI...)

Thanks, I will.

I rather enjoy the challange of not having one button to mash.
Couple that with I think a DK will be my main for guild endgame raiding and I think I'm going to go with DK. It just sounds more fun.
Plus my wife is a paladin. We have a recurring theme of being opposites, might as well apply that to WoW now too :)
