Hello everyone!
Okay wasn't sure exactly where to post this but figure this would be ok. I am having some kind of performance problems, this is what happened.
I was on vista and everything was fine, besides that after I updated the graphics card drivers on nvidia the game would sometimes give me bsod about memory.
So I was getting pissed and figured hey! why not downgrade to xp and try it out there. Now fyi I never twoboxed on xp I started off in Vista, but my reasoning to downgrade to XP was thinking less resources taking up and what seems to be less cpu also.
I am in XP now and I get shit for fps in both instances and im F***ing pissed. For some reason when maxed out on both screens the right monitor(which is old) is getting more fps then my left monitor(brand new) dont know why that is.
I even put both on low and still, the right gets more fps then the left. Again, in Vista everything was good, I was able to put Main(left) on basically High and the Alt(right) on medium and still get great fps.
So I figure maybe I'm missing something here.

Here is my specs:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 @ 2.41GHz
2GB Ram
8800GT
Windows XP+SP3
Left Monitor-MAIN(22" Samsung)
Right Monitor-Alt(20" Dell)
Latest drivers from nVidia

I had no problem in Vista until I updated the drivers or something, Im sure that was it but w/e and I started to get that BSOD about memory is full, blah, blah, blah, goes up to 100% and restarts.

I don't know why you would go from Vista to XP without contacting support. If I purchased Vista and had that problem I would have contacted them. Were you using a pirated version or something? I can't figure out why you would buy Vista and then move to XP.

Edit: As a side note the 8800 has some serious heat issues using it's stock fan and heatsink. Do you have any utility installed to show it's temp? I bet thats where your problem is.

Vista and xp handle multiple monitors differently - thats why the problems were different.

I like heat for this as well.

My first step, however, would have been downgrading the driver in vista. - too late for that i guess.

When you play in xp you need to set your monitors to span mode, not dual. Once you do this your perf will be just as good or better than vista.
