Pretty much as the title states..

Here's the links and yes I know they aren't 80 yet, but like what def, armor, spell power should all my guys have?

Only reason I'm asking is it worth it to spend some cash on blacksmith/LW upgrades that cost like a ton of money when I don't have a ton???

4x elemental or 3x elemental 1x resto?

protadin with 20k bare minimum really, preferably 23-25k. And as close to critimmune as you can get. As crits can totally screw you over in heroics. But I think you wont be able to reach critimmune without heroic epics and such, so just get as close as you can get. Might save a lot of frustration.

4x elemental you should aim to have at least 1600 self buffed Spellpower. Taletn builds that include all mana conserving talents and preferably 14k mana minimum.

3x elemental shaman and 1x resto, similar stats then previous for the resto but I believe you can slack a bit on the other three shamans quite a bit however. And overall in worse gear you will be able to handle heroics better overall with this set up as opposed to 4x elemental. Which really doesn't start to shine until you start to gear up.

4x elemental is more gear dependant than 3x ele + 1x resto.

Kirin tor revered is good for elemental shamans, cloak+belt+weapon. so focus on getting some factions to revered first, for some decent blue gear. at least. There are some pretty decent craftable blues either, should totally take a look into that. Basicly, rep rewards and craftables are multibox wise the easiest to get and will get you quite some stuff.

Just my two cents.

The hit cap for casters at lvl 80 without any hit from talents or other sources is 446, and 368 if you have 3% from talents.

You only need 535 defense to be critimmune in heroics.

True for raid instances. However, mobs and bosses in Heroics only go up to level 82, meaning the hit caps in Heroics are a more easily reached 158 and 79 respectively.

Good guide for Paladin pre-raid pre-heroic crit immunity. I am not sure how much HP this will give you though. A bit pricey with the BoE epics and I know you said you don't have a ton, but with 5 L80s to run dailies or grind with you should have no problems affording this stuff.

540 pre Heroic gear isn't really that hard at all. At least not if you're willing to spend some cash which you should have if you quested.

Here's my warrior's armory link

Zullga ('http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Cenarius&n=Zullga')

The only piece of Heroic gear she is wearing atm is the gossamer's trinket which doesn't add any defense, and as you can see she is actually over the Heroic def cap by quite a bit. I actually working on switching out some defense for more stamina.

I'm not sure about shamans but as far as tanks go this is generally what I've been told for Heroics.

22-23k HP
20k +AC
535 Defense for Heroics 540 for Raids
Dodge and Parry = 30% (in some combonation, although this may be more for warriors than for paladin or dk)

To the OP: Crit immunity as many have stated, for paladin, go for +def until this goal is reached, and just sta/str/mitigation stats after this. The craftables are nice. For shaman spellpower > crit/haste and make sure you're hit capped. I'm pretty much never tanking any physical damage on my slaves, so the itemization points spent on armor are pretty much wasted in terms of PvE. I'm pretty sure I could outfit my guys in in cloth and it wouldn't make any difference other than a higher spellpower stat and I'm seriously considering doing so.
