Now im sure every1 knows theres a million things to help you start multiboxing but im also sure that you've noticed no matter how much some people read technical computer shizz some just cant seem to get it to all come together nicely so im thinking about making a step by step guide using fraps explaining:
A) how to set up keyclone
B) how to use keyclone ingame and across all accounts properly
C) common commands and simple macro set ups to get you started
I was one of these people who would have loved to have seen a guide like this somewhere so i can actually 'see' how to set it up not be told "now hit the do not pass button and enter everything you wish to not pass" etc - mainly so younger people can get a better idea of how to set everything up
the reason im posting here is because i'd like to know is there already guides like this? I never saw one but that doenst mean there isnt a link to something like this somewhere on dual-boxing.com
and also is it worth doing? or does everybody think it would end up being just a waste of time

There is I guide. Im a new multiboxer only 3-4months old, and when I was born I read this amazing guide that made life so easy. I had no idea it was this easy to get started.
I dont know what happend to it, and I dont have it bookmarked so sorry.

I saw some request for it on the keyclone forums and was thinking the same thing...a video guide.
I'd suggest doing it in parts, let me know if you need help.

:whistling:And we had to walk UPHILL BOTH WAYS on the 33k modem to get to the bbs!
If you want to do a guide, go for it. I'm currently in the middle of one myself. Just make sure it is very clear and to the point and not a giant wall of text. If you do video, make sure you are able to be heard clearly and make it easy to see what is going on.

You don't know how to appreciate broadband until you have experienced 300 baud... back when the internet didn't have "Fast Quest Text"...

You don't know how to appreciate broadband until you have experienced 300 baud... back when the internet didn't have "Fast Quest Text"...rofl! Yeah, my first experience was on a 300, then shortly after that a 9600.

You don't know how to appreciate broadband until you have experienced 300 baud... back when the internet didn't have "Fast Quest Text"...I did that when I worked for a cell phone company back in the day.
We had a few wealthy customers that wanted access to the internet over their cell phones.
This was using old brick phones with special adapters. I remember thinking I was pretty cool being able to access the internet on my laptop from anywhere….”Wirelessly”. ;)

It would be great to have a guide that went over hotstrings for keyclone.

... so im thinking about making a step by step guide using fraps ...
Just a heads up; Last time I checked Fraps will not record your desktop, you will need to use something like Camtasia for that. I'm sure there are free alternatives as well, Camtasia is what I use at work.

Uh... there already is one ('http://dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=13173')?
Although... Hmm... I was going to link the official keyclone website but KC might want to take a look at his site. I'm picking up "Actns/Swif.T detected in a .swf file..." when visiting http://solidice.com/keyclone -- I don't think it's KC... I think it's Youtube. O.o SWF = Flash file, and the only flash on his site is the video guides via Youtube.

EDIT: Curious, b/c I don't seem to get any notifications for http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Ev7wuPSkl0 (which I had a hunch was firing off the virus on the main page...) Of course, the embedded youtube flash is different than the one on youtube.com so...?
EDIT: Confirmed! I visited a page on my own vboxing.net that had a youtube video embedded in it, and got the same virus notification. Be wary, folks! Any site with an embedded youtube video should be suspect!
EDIT #3: Please take virus-related discussion here so that it's more on-topic and visible: http://dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=17079

ok thanks for the replies guys, and to Vyndree for pointing out there already is a guide (reason why i made this thread, too see if there was any point to making one which there isnt if one already exists)
and to Nitro who pointed out fraps doesnt record desktop :( i may be able to find a way around that and/or look into that camtasia product you linked, thanks guys!
If i get bored over my holidays i may make a guide anyway just to kill some time and take a break from leveling my 3 priests -.- they are so slow to level lol

Well I'm not saying you SHOULDN'T make a guide if you want to. :) Just letting you know there's one out there so perhaps you can make a complementary guide. :)
