How the hell do you take these guys down?

Its bad enough when their is one of them but when there is two they complete own my team in seconds...that stupid black thing on the ground they do owns me.. My shammies don't respond fast enough to get out of it and it gives them life back...sigh.

they need to be first priority, boom boom them down. gotta be quick on the movement forward to get out of the void zone.

He was horde i belive..

Anyway the soul mages seems to have a max range so i just stay at chain lightning/lb range and my adds didnt get hit once..

Well it worked the 4-5 last drak runs for me!

Drak'Tharon up to the first boss I have on serious ezmode farm with my 5 shaman team. I was bored one day and frustrated with getting my ass kicked so @ 75 I worked it out (vs 75 elites).

For the soul mages I pick a spot at max range, off to one side.
Turn OFF my whitelist, such that I can easily move all 5 quickly.
I open with LB, follow with chain lightning, this hopefully kills the first one, but if not I still switch to the 2nd.
Some mobs are likely in melee range now, so I pop thunderstorm to knock them back, this almost always kills the first if it's not dead already.
Flame shock, lava burst, this will almost definitely kill the 2nd one.

In the event there is a void patch I just strafe or run forward out of it. Running back is too dangerous because of the speed.

I pop heroism to take these guys down in heroic. And I still wipe once or twice.

As said before make them first priority kills, once they get close, do a thunderstorm which should buy you enough time to finish them off with a few more hits, mop up the rest of the mobs. GL if you get two of them in pack, in that case, get ready to move quickly.

Dunno about heroic but in regular I wiped initially on them, if you have any sort of stuns it works great however. On the 2x pull I nuke one down fast (they should die before they can get a void zone off), then I hammer the second one with my pally while I nuke it down. Haven't had a void zone with this strat so far. And yeah, them dropping one on your dps pit will pretty much kill them in a few seconds.

For this and many other bosses I have shift-WASDQE bound as their movement equivs on my team and set to pass-through in keyclone, and simply do a shift-Q/E to strafe left or right the entire caster team, while my pally tank stands still. Has helped a lot on many bosses where quick movement is required.

As i said for thoose who play 1 paladin and 4 shamans...

Have you tried to stay at MAX range with your paladin so your just in range for light bolt and chain lightning?

I should probably try that. I guess my problem is that sometimes I can't really tell what MAX range really is away from my team and totems.

Never the less I pretty much pop bloodlust and utterlly destroy one if there is one. After the first like 4 pulls of Drak'Tharon the entire instance is a cake walk beyond belief
