What I want but cant get to work, is that all 4 slaves are at the lowest graphic option, and my main is with highest setting in 1440x900 resolution. I have seperate wow folders, one for slaves, one for master. What happens is that whenever I start keyclone, the ingame resolution on my master is reset too 800x600 resolution, which isnt really nice to look at seeing I want 1440x900 resolution.

I've set up my maximizer like this (I got dual screen in horizontal span on 1440x900 each screen):

region4: 2160,450 720,450
region3: 1440,450 720,450
region2: 2160,0 720,450
region1: 1440,0 720, 450
region5: 0,0 1440,900 (Master)

Any suggestions that would point me too the right track?

Howdy crippen and welcome to the forums!

ignore the in-game resolution that wow shows, it comes from a set list. when wow starts up, it uses the game resolution from the config.wtf file... otherwise, odd aspect ratio, like those found in 5 region layouts, wouldn't work properly.

as a suggestion, if you wish to pip swap your wows, you will want to make sure you keep the aspect ratios the same on all regions. to do this, first make sure the game resolution on each region is the same and then make sure the dimensions of the region are set to some multiple of the game resolution.

also keep in mind that your do not have to select a game resolution for the region from the pull down in keyclone. you can type any resolution you wish into the field... just make sure it's in the proper format (ie: 1440x900 ... no spaces, and a little x between the numbers)

you may also want to check out the maximizer layout samples on the main site:

if you have any other questions, or would just like to bat around a few ideas, please feel free to drop me a note.

have a great weekend and welcome to the addiction,

Rob (keyclone developer)

First of all, thanks alot for your time and answer :]

"...ignore the in-game resolution that wow shows..."

Not sure what you mean by this. Are you trying to tell me that I could just edit my config.wtf in my mastefolder to 1440x900, but when I enter wow with keyclone, it says 800x600 but I should ignore that cause its really 1440x900?

And those layouts you linked me, isnt that what I made in my first post? The layout seems to work fine, and since I have 2 screens, aspect ratio isnt an issue on my main screen where I have only 1 wow window up, the other 4 is on the secondary screen.

Basically you have two resolutions.

One is how many pixels across and tall each of your regions is on your screen.
Two is the warcraft resolution within that window.

Your monitor will show as many regions as you have set, and they will be as many pixels across as you have set each region to be.
So you monitor displays each region at the exact size you have picked.

Warcraft takes each region, and assumes it is your full screen.
So it fills up the region to the scale warcraft has been set to.
If warcraft is set to 800x600, warcraft thinks each region is your full screen and scales your interface for that amount of spacing between things.

Another way to look at it: imagine you had every region taking up your whole screen.
If warcraft was set to 800x600, then that is your full screen resolution.
If you had a smaller monitor, you can still have 800x600 resolution, but things will be smaller on the smaller screen.
Your regions are essentially multiple smaller monitors all displayed on your actual monitor.
So each region is 800x600 resolution within their smaller screens.

Okey the 800x600 on the 4 slaves I have on my secondary monitor I understand, my prot.palla on my main screen (lcd widescreen) has some strange resolution I just cant figure what is. In wow it just says 800x600, which it clearly isnt, it just dont look like that at all. I dont think its 1440x900 resolution either (my wish), cause my dwarf palla just look really fat you know.

So to get 1440x900 resolution on my main screen, I have set the config.wtf resolution to be 1440x900 and setup keyclone with a dualview (horizontal span) as I posted in my first post. So basically it should work with me getting 1440x900 resolution on my main screen?

Thanks for helping out :]
