View Full Version : Can't get up and running on Vista

*** PROBLEM HAS BEEN RESOLVED ***

Hello, I've been using keyclone for a while on an XP pro machine and recently bought a new Vista machine. I tried buying a second license for the vista machine, however I've never been able to get it to work. I figured I'd wait til a new version came out, and now that one has I tried again and it's still not working. When I first installed keyclone before registering, I think it said "not registered". Ever since I received the confirmation, it has stated "LICENSE HAS EXPIRED"

The system is running Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit.

When I open keyclone I get "LICENSE HAS EXPIRED", the next window "keyclone v1.8k" has everything grayed out except the setup button and "badly formatted".

I double checked and the system ID key matches exactly to the paypal confirmation page. I am also running the program as administrator, like I see on all the other posts.



Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you. Oh, happy turkey day and goodluck to anyone who works retail friday....

Turn off windows firewall or make an exception for keyclone.

LHE is just the generic "I can't confirm that I'm registered" error. If you're unregistered, have not updated your system key, or are firewalling KC you get the same message. Parsous's solution should work given what you posted.

Thanks for the quick responses, although I tried that and it's not helping either. I took some screen shots so you could see what I'm dealing with. Since the key is related to my account, I blacked it out, not sure if that was necessary though. Maybe the account was never registered correctly back when I first got it setup, I sent an email to payments@solidice.com ('mailto:payments@solidice.com'), although I may need to just PM him on here. It's also the holidays so I probably need to just give him some time.

Did you buy the vista license while you were on your vista machine? Cause that could be the problem right there. you have to be on the appropriate machine to buy the license for it.

You can email the admin with the SYSTEM ID on your keyclone with the email you used to pay for it to get it fixed. At least I read that up in the faq.

Problem has been resolved, it was just a license issue and is working now. This is actually my third license, I already had it setup for both my brother and I on XP machines. When I went to install it on the vista machine and clicked the "get license" link, paypal only had the payment form set for $10. The automated system didn't pick that up as a full payment. I resubmitted payment, this time the form showed the correct ammount, and all is working now...

Time to quadbox, soon quintboxing
